Exactly the same applies the other way around. When a Dutch person goes to live/work in India, he/she also has to learn the language, look for housing and a job and he/she is also seen as a foreigner and everything will be advertised as more expensive. Everything has its pros and cons and the grass is not greener elsewhere. As you know the housing has become unaffordable for ordinary Dutch people due to the arrival of many expats, not only from India. The waiting period for affordable housing is 20 years or more. As a result, Dutch young adults continue to live with their parents for much longer and are unable to start a family. If you are unlucky in your relationship, you can even end up on the street if you have no parents or no one to fall back on. There are even Dutch people who sleep/live in their car and still work and pay taxes. Asylum seekers who have a residence permit have priority for social housing and ordinary Dutch people can join the back of the queue. There is a lot of poverty, there are food banks and there is also a lot of misery in the Netherlands. and yes, the waiting lists in healthcare apply to all Dutch people. When I hear you talk so positively about India, I wonder why you are still here, you are better off in India. Things are getting better in India. Just think about it carefully. 🙏🏼

From an expert by experience who studied in Delft, let's put it this way: If the local people could not find a home for themselves in the Netherlands, how do you think you will find a place to live as a student here? Futhermore the language is Dutch, not English as you might know.

Very nice and interesting video. I always enjoy hearing Indian language, it sounds like music to me. (But I'm glad there are subtitles) I didn't know that healthcare is so advanced and good in India, no waiting times and appointments with specialists within hours or days. Wow, development is fast there. But if there is urgency, you can see a doctor with an emergency procedure. My wife had the same thing with her eye and she was able to visit a few hours later. (We live in Switzerland, maybe it's easier for tourists who don't have a GP in the Netherlands). It's always a challenge when you live in a (totally) different culture to find your way around, luckily you both speak English. That's also the beauty of it. You cannot judge the Netherlands only as an Indian, but if you spend a few years there, you will also look at India differently. Perspectives will widen and it will enrich your life. Go and enjoy the local culture, enjoy the local festivities (there are many in the south) like carnival. I hope you will find your day. If you get to know Dutch people in person, they are very open, very interested in other cultures. In Amsterdam or Rotterdam, it should be easy to find Indian restaurants and also markets where you can find more Indian (and spicy ;) ) food. It is also interesting to discover European cuisine, especially in Belgium or France, you have a really sophisticated, high-quality food culture. Enjoy the differences. I enjoy Indian restaurants, but I always tell the cook, not too spicy :). Weather is always an important issue, but personally I prefer to enjoy the fresh air on the Dutch coast rather than the pollution of many Indian enourmes cities. In rural areas, of course, things can be much better, but I suppose you don't have the good infrastructure there in terms of healthcare and jobs? Have a nice day!

I was in Germany for around 3 years on Blue card and have similar experience. I found healthcare is difficult to get when you need urgently, I even called an ambulance one night due to unbearable pain then they said to go to hospital in the morning as at night it wasn’t open. Everything else are can be accepted and adjusted. So we left Germany.

This was a very informative video tbh. But, could you make further videos regarding student life and ROI? This would help the students who are planning to do their studies in the Netherlands. Because personally, I'm exploring the opportunities and job scenarios in the Netherlands, since other countries are falling apart. Also finding the information regarding this on the internet is very hard.

Best of luck with your channel? I'm assuming you're not coming from one of the 4 big cities in India? It has been normal for decades to make appointment with anyone you want to visit family or friends in the big cities. It's rude to just drop in. That's not different than in The Netherlands it seems.

You always have to follow the channel through GP as we mentioned in the video. Koi private doctor nahi hota yaha like we have in India. I have heard about some private consultants but they are also the part of the system and need to follow same rules.

It's simple answer, I've spend my childhood on South India and i really love South Indian people, they are very good, but about language Hindi, it's a national language and we all have to learn it, and about South Indian language, wherever state, country we go we need to learn there languages it's necessary for communication, think simple 😂

yes true.. System in NL is not like india.. You get oppointments after 2-3-4weeks sometimes.. People fly back to india in worst case and get treatment in India 🇮🇳 in India its quicker for major health issues. In Netherlands, as emergency you can go to hospital directly but you have to pay extra fees of 160-200euros /per visit to see doctor and get consultation.

You can only prove your case as an emergency case if it's a life threatening situation. But many times if it's not a life threatening situation, still we need immediate attention; in such cases you simply cannot get any support.
