In general, Telugu Keertanas are pronounced wrongly by most of non Telugu (mother tongue) singers. But, its astonishing to see her 100% perfect rendering and pronounciation of Telugu letters and words without even a nano meter deviation !! Hats off. I have heard this song rendered by you several hundreds of times and felt bliss of the Bhakti in the words of Sri Tyagaraja . I decided to finally comment today as I watched a westernized modernist contemporary version of this song in some in reality show. There was zero respect , zero divinity , zero emotion in that version and I felt it painful to see such a distorted version of the beautiful song. Special thanks to you for retaining Carnatic music the way it should be .

My best favourite of all tyagaraja krutis. Only tears flow, no chance to hear it without tears, whoever sing this. Gayatri you sang at Bahu dhooram excellently. Your expression went very well with those words. Hope you understand its inner meaning same like Tyagaraja Swamy. This is His one of last ones. He was asking Rama to give Him kaivalyam. Here here. An ordinary listener from MH marvelling at this wonderful, soulful rendition of Thyagaraja's kruthi! I came across this kruthi few years back when I listened to Kadri Gopalanatha's saxophone rendition of this composition, and I have listened to vocal renditions by few others as well. But this one is the first vocal rendition that left me with better appreciation of lyrics - partly due to subtitles and the translations, but to a significant degree due to clear pronunciations of the words by Sooryagayathri 🙏🏽 Seems medieval Telugu Bhakti compositions have fair degree of Samskruta based lexicon, which sounds familiar for a non-native listener like me. 😀

I have listened to this keerthana sung by many senior artists in vocal and instrumental. Glad to see that you sang correctly except in two instances. Many have say 'nagarajaa dharaneedu', but it conveys the meaning only if said as 'nagarajadharaa needu'. I have heard only Sri Mangalampally Balamuralikrishna singing with correct separation of the words. Could have been more melodious if gamakas are added in Abheri and sing with more devotion. Definitely a good attempt to sing in plain Abheri.

You make good points about pronunciation and using the correct words. And as feedback, it is a good point to make to improve performance over time. However, it is difficult to assess someone else’s level of devotion. After all, you do not know what the artist is feeling. And not within the critic’s purview.

This girl's mother tongue is Malayalam. Dr. Bala Murali Krishna sir's is Telugu. The song itself is Telugu I believe, which I might have listened not less than 5 dozen times. In my opinion, we shouldn't compare his with this child's😊singing...🙏
