Oh how I miss my daddy, he played this everyday when this album was out and got mad because I took it home. I snuck and took this album home he called me and said "you got my Patrice rushen album!?" and I had take it back to his house lol. such beautiful memories 🥺

Hi ! It´s a pleasure to listen to this wonderful music. Patrice Rushen is one of a kind. I´ve been listening to this composition since 1985 and never get tired of it. She belongs to a talented group of musicians and many many others, like Lee Ritenour and Dave Grusin. God bless them and their music.

This is one of favorite jams by Patrice. It's such a motivational jam to get motivated by. We wore this jam out at the club along with Forget me not. She is also very easy on the eyes and ears.

Such a talented gifted musician and sooo underrated. Just like Prince, she wrote songs and played several instruments. Love the piano, horns and the bass line is sick. As Miles Davis used to say...Everybody is in the pocket and grooving! I love all of Ms. Rushen's music; however, this is my favorite tune!

Bravo to the poster for putting the effort in to provide a quality transfer. Sounds really good considering it’s compressed. And yeah...Patrice is gift for sure. A level of talent on par with the greatest of the greats. Excellent production by Mims on this as well but I’m sure she was in the drivers seat most of the time.😉

Some people get on these threads and put thumbs down on them. For what? One can say, Well everybody has their taste but this song right here is absolutely solid, sound, and compelling. One of my favorites of all time as a contemporary jazz funk piece done about 40 yrs. ago. Almost every Madonna song sounded like a filler song and reject song. Madonna's ability to be the "it" girl is what made her otherwise sonically boring songs top the charts.Girls like Patrice weren't promoted as they should have.
