Stuart Carey is a potter and co-director of The Kiln Rooms ceramic studio in Peckham, London. In his talk at Ceramic Art London 2017, Stuart gave a glimpse into the market, offering advice and guidelines for the professional development of early career ceramists. Using his own (and other people's) achievements and failures, Stuart opens avenues of discussion and sheds light on successful paths it is possible to carve today.
Ceramic Art London is the international ceramics event of the year. CAL 2018 takes place at Central Saint Martins between Friday 23rd and Sunday 25th March, and features work by over 90 contemporary ceramic artists and potters, alongside a programme of talks and events.
