This is a cornerstone video if there ever was one. Stuart Hall is a titan in communication studies and everyone comes across his cultures or readings somewhere in communications degree.
Representation theory is what brought semiotics to life. Without it, semiotics would have remained the study of static symbols and words. With it, semiotics becomes the foundational building blocks for understanding how ideas circulate in society.

This is such a great and clear explanation! Although my ADHD brain would really appreciate like text for important points and some more visuals just to really ingrain that info in my mind 😂 but the explanation when I focus at 110% is actually very simple and super clear. Thank you! 💗
