Stuck in the Desert with SCORE/Baja Champions

SCORE World Desert Champ Hernquist Motorsports takes us out in their famous Class 5 Baja Bug before the Parker 425 Pre-Run. In less than an hour we got stuck (and recovered) and punctured a brand new tire! Plus serviced an OmniDiver in a hotel.

How come you can’t charge a watch battery like a phone? Seems primitive. Everyone has a phone that tells time.

Highly specialized tools… because of this specific application, a charging port would eliminate the water/pressure resistance and tolerances that makes them desirable and valuable.

If you get real watch there is no battery to die

We make "real" watches too (i.e. automatic mechanical) but they can't offer 10 seconds per year of timekeeping so many of our customers opt for the accuracy and simplicity of a temperature compensated high accuracy quartz. Plus, keep in mind that automatic movements still require service intervals every few years to be properly maintained.
