I am so nervous to student teach this fall. I feel like it'll be so different and not the average experience because of covid, but I know I'll learn a lot and be able to adapt to new circumstances. Love the student teaching tips!!

I just completed my student teaching experience and I agree with everything you mentioned in this video. I learned so much about building relationships with my students and honestly, it was the most important part!

I think the relationship with students question was interesting because at my college every semester (for all 8) you have an in class placement to gain more experience. So you get to practice building student relationships the entire time your in undergrad

Hey Emma! I am from Topeka, so I was surprised to hear that you went to Washburn. I have friends that went there and they absolutely loved it. Most of them got jobs within the district. I just graduated from KSU a few weekends ago and I recently got my first teaching job in a small town about twenty minutes away. Hi Emma! I am currently on week 2 of my student teaching for elementary SPED. I know you are not a SPED teacher but when it came to student teaching and you took over the classroom, did you have to teach your own lesson plans for the remainder of the time? Or just when you ran the class full time? and for how long? I am worried that I am not doing enough and I don't want to step on any toes or interrupt.

Were you paid to take student teaching? I'm going to call around but I'm terrified if I'm in the classroom all day Monday - Friday that I won't be able to hold a job and pay my rent/bills.
