Dude made the right call. His business partner totally saved him here. I read somewhere that they're very successful now and they are in some big sports stadiums. It takes a lot of guts to decline an offer from Mark Cuban and it's even better that he proved they don't really need the sharks.

The big hype he got is from Shark Tank. If the idea is good it will win no matter what. If there is a shark with them or not. That's exactly what happened here.

But they did need the sharks and all the free advertisement. Same for the connections, otherwise they would not have ended up in a sports stadium.

they always get too focused on the percentage and doesnt understand the value a shark can bring to their company. Especially a shark like Mark, and he was excited about this product too,

Mark has said that half of the businesses he invests in go on to fail. If the entrepreneur and product is good they’ll find a way to be successful with or without a shark

@@GATOWN That's such a non-argument. Yea, if the entrepreneur is really good with a solid product... of course things will likely work out fine. But a lot of people that come on the show lack a bit of expertise, experience, need more tweaking on the product or simply need the money. Without Mark (or any shark), a good portion of the companies that were succesful with him, couldve ended up not working out, or be less succesful than they are now

This business has amazing potential. After some growth and maturity, he can turn this thing into a vending machine model with LIDAR face detection and place a giant box of coat compartments in every college campus in America.

7 mil per year. He’s successful sure but that’s tiny for what that business could have been with that deal. Even with 66% equity it wouldn’t matter if that revenue was multiplied by 5 or even 10

I have also been trading with him and the profits are secured and over a 100% return on investment directly sent to your wallet. Lack of trade discipline is the primary reason for in day trade losses. It is estimated that nearly 80-85% of day traders end up losing money in the stock market

@@leonajames5517 There are a lot of businesses with zero profit but bought by big tech companies with surprising valuation. Database with the customer and their activities are valuable to them.

@@dustinvo6097 Those are businesses that either have a lot of users, so the buyer company knows that starting a competitor won't get them the same amount of users to gain traction (especially when it comes to the online space), or they have some unique technology that others want. This company has neither.

The decision-maker wasn't in the tank - that was their biggest mistake. He loved the offer but the partner didn't. Wish they were more serious by bringing the partner to the pitch.

Not sure if you're serious. $7M revenue is an excellent business if the margins are even just pretty good. Trying to turn a niche business into Google with a succession of big marketing bets risks bankruptcy.
