Also to clear up confusion, all of the JoJos from Parts 1-6 are related, the reason for different last names can be because of daughters marrying, changing their own name, or something else

Johnathan is Joseph's grandfather, Joseph is Jotaro's grandfather, Joseph got around in his elder years and is Josuke's father. Through some ancient vampire magic fuckery Johnathan is technically Giorno's father. Jotaro is Jolyne's father

You are spot-on with almost all the characters on their personality. Each one of them are tough and badass, but with separate traits. Jonathan is the finest gentleman on the planet, the chad of all chads. Joseph is a cocky trickster, but deep down is very sensitive and good-willed. Jotaro is a delinquent and the 'doesn't give any shits' guy but cares very much about his family and friends. Josuke is the fun teenager who is really kind but can mess things up when anyone close to him is hurt or when someone insults his hair. Giorno seems like a gangster but is quite the kind person, but is also one of the most brutal JoJos when it comes down to business. Jolyne is fun to hang around but she is related to Jotaro and hence also a major badass. And you're right, the music does represent each character perfectly. The evil parts you heard in Jonathan's theme represent the evils he faces, the character himself is as good as one can be. Personally, I like Josuke, Giorno and Jolyne's themes the most but all of them are great in their own ways. Great analysis from you, I really like the way you dissect each theme and try to figure out how it fits with the characters. P.S. - Many people have suggested already so I'll also say you should definitely check out all JoBro themes and all the main villain themes.

Just for fun, here's how each JoJo was introduced: 1) Jonathan, as a kid, jumped to fight against some bullies because they stole the doll of a girl he didn't even know. They kicked his ass and threw him down the river, but hey, he got the doll back. 2) Joseph got his wallet stolen by a black kid, and when the burglar got caught by some racist cops, Joseph's first reaction was to claim that he actually wanted to _give_ the kid his wallet as a gift. Then he beat up the cops. _Then_ he freaked out because he broke his promise to Granny to not get in trouble. 3) Jotaro was arrested after beating up several people, although he claimed that it was the fault of an "evil spirit" and doesn't want to leave his cell. A bit later, everyone is freaking out because he keeps acquiring stuff (like a can of beer, a comic book, and an entire exercise bike) without moving from his cell. 4) Josuke tried to pet a turtle to get over his fear of reptiles (emphasis on "tried"). Then he got bullied by a bunch of other students, remaining meek until someone made the mistake of insulting his huge pompadour hair. Cue asskicking. 5) Giorno recovered a young tourist's wallet after it got stolen. Then he stole a few banknotes from said tourists. Then he bought ice-cream for himself and some random kid. Also, he wants to join the mafia and become a "gang-star". 6) Jolyne got thrown in prison for DUI manslaughter (which turns out she didn't commit), and was caught by the prison guards while she was masturbating in her cell. Because apparently the moon made her horny. No, I'm not making this up.

The themes also go with their abilities/superpowers. Each of their characters has a significant ability. Jonathan has an ability that is much older and basically the foundation of the bloodline. Joseph has a similar ability but it’s more reckless and sparky, so it’s more hip and spontaneous. Jotaro has a very powerful ability and is the change of the type of ability. It’s more powerful and more mysterious, so the sound is more powerful. Josuke’s ability kinda reverses or changes what it hits. So that’s why the theme sounds like it reverse in some parts. Giovanna’s ability is more grand and mysterious. You can probably see why his theme is different. Jolyne’s ability is very different and new compared to the rest of the character. It’s more new and unique, so that’s why her theme is more technoky and fits more with modern music.

Don't worry, i Will explain to You All this characters are part of The same family: The Joestar Family Jonathan being the ancestor Joseph (who is the one with brown hair) is Jonathan's grandson Then Joseph would have a daughter named Holly, Holly Joestar, which would be the mother of Jotaro Kujo Kujo's last name would come from Jotaro's father, who is not physically shown in the show Then with Josuke he would be the bastard son of Joseph since he was unfaithful to his wife, although this would later end up being assumed and Josuke would be accepted by the Joestar family With Giorno it would be bizarre, since he is Jonathan's *biological* son but at the same time DIO's son Dio Brando is the adoptive brother of Jonathan, who is the main villain during the show *SPOILER ALERT* The way Giorno is born is because DIO (main villain of the whole plot) would steal Jonathan's body to survive the ship explosion during Jonathan's honeymoon This is achieved since DIO is a vampire Finally Jolyne is nothing more and less than the daughter of Jotaro Kujo I hope you understand me :) Greetings from México ❤️💜

I love virtually all the music that comes out of the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure show. I don't have any experience with music, but I feel like every musician, composer, and singer who works on the music for this series really loves the source material and get to have a fun time making the music. There's just so much variety and care put into every song. Especially since one composer, Yugo Kanno, has worked on the soundtracks for four parts of the anime, spanning over 150 episodes. I swear every character gets a unique theme, so unique that I could probably tell which of the main cast is in a given scene just from which tracks are playing.

Ah I love Taku Iwasaki (Joseph Joestar Theme composer) mainly because I love his work on the Gurren Lagann soundtrack. If you want other samples for other composers than here I go. Kevin Perkin - Tower of god and Made in Abyss (hanezeve caradhina, rumble of scientific triumph) + Hiroyuki Sawano - AOT (I don't think I need to name examples here), Re:Creators (God of Ink, Brave the Ocean and Layers) and Kill la kill (Satsuki Kiryuin theme, Blumenkranz and Before My body is dry) Taku Iwasaki - Gurren Lagaan (Thrust through the heavens with your spirit, Libera me for hell), Jormungard (Time to attack) and Soul Eater (Psychidelic Souljam... yes that is it's name, Bang! Some Jojo's characters and powers are based on songs or artists, Jolyne is based on Dolly Parton's 'Jolene'. There's also a character called 'Robert E O Speedwagon'. He was in one of the pictures with Jonathan, the blonde.

I think I might’ve watched this but it’s been over a year if I have. The 1st 🥇 guy’s theme was written by Hayato Matsuo. He composed the soundtracks for games such as Ogre 👹 Battle 64 and the DS versions of Dragon 🐉 Quest 4-6. The 2nd 🥈 was done by Taku Iwasaki who made the music for animes such as Soul Eater, Gurren Lagann, Witch Hunter Robin & GetBackers to name a few. All the rest are by Yugo Kanno who also wrote the music for Psycho Pass, Cells at work Code Black, and many more I’ve never heard of.

If you're big into the metal/jazz vibe, I'd recommend checking out the Slayer themes from Guilty Gear, "Haven't You Got Eyes In Your Head?" and "Jack-a-dandy" are great metal-jazz fusion pieces. And honestly almost any music piece from Daisuke/Naoki, Guilty Gear especially, is top tier metal/rock.

I believe the jazzy section of jotaro's theme is a subtle nod to how his father (who is absent from the anime) was a jazz musician. It's a theory, though.

Can anybody tell me what scenes Joseph's theme plays in? I've never realized there's actually an English rap track for his theme. I know all the others themes, and Joseph is my favorite character but I never knew his.

It is played but not much even in the last battle the music played is so no chi no sadame since it was a serious scene but you can see it playing in Joseph vs wammu and joseph vs AC/DC fight sometimes.

Not completely. The two types of woodwind instruments are reed instruments and flutes. With brass instruments, the vibration is caused by the lips. With woodwinds, the vibration comes from the reed or the air blown across a hole for flutes.

You're right, I've listened to this correction in the past, it's just that in a jazz/big band context, at least in my country, people refer to saxophones trumpets and trombones as a big unit and section on their own. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!

This is the family tree George Joestar I=Jonathan Joestar=George Joestar II= Joseph Joestar= Josuke(when joseph was old he got the buns and josuke was born) & Holy Kujo(last name changed because she was married to a Japanese man)= Jotaro Kujo= Jolyne Cujoh. now about Giorno he was born after jotaro and he's the son of Jonathan now this is possible because of dio and vampire shit just watch the show

There’s the theory that Josuke’s real dad was Hol Horse who was a long lost son of Joseph so Joseph would be Josuke’s other grandfather.

I know I’m really late, but there’s actually a reason for it. It’s The thing is, the part of Jonathan’s theme that everyone collectively recognizes as the best part isn’t actually in his official theme, but rather it’s part of a secondary theme. I know Jolyne has a similar action sort of theme that contains her main leitmotif from her official theme (by main leitmotif, I mean the part in her theme when they sing “JoJo, Stone Ocean.”) I heard it before watching part six and thought it was her official theme. I believe the song is called “Decisive Battle ~Overlapping Destinies~” where “the best part of Jonathan’s theme” is from.
