I always thought Prowl's on-screen death was the most brutal (aside from Prime's death)

When I saw these in my target a month ago I instantly thought “y’know, I always wanted to buy a couple of my favorite transformers in the form of an open casket.”

Hasbro included a death scene so that they could justify retiring the old toys and usher in the new ones. Now they've come full circle to create toys of the scene in which the old toys were retired. It's a cycle of eternal recurrence.

It just blows my mind they decided to make these. I remember seeing this scene as a child and it was pretty traumatic. Just sad to think that Hasbro said "Hey lets capitalize on the death scenes" lol and the expression on prowls face, you can tell how painful it was like even he said "Why?" Lol

Prowl had the most gruesome death of all the Autobots with flames & smoke coming out his eyes & mouth, Scavenger sure did a number on him.

I won this pack at the trivia portion of the sdcc 2023 transformers panel and it was definitely a mixed feeling of joy. I mean I always wanted these two characters, prowl especially, without needing to mortgage my house. But I also didn’t expect to get the dead versions of them!

Really hoping that Prowl gets released without the battle damage as I missed out on both the Siege and Earthrise releases and still don’t have a decent Prowl in my collection.

Well, at least the hollow parts in Prowl's legs are the least of his worries now? I had no intention of picking this pack up since I already have SS86 Ironhide and Earthrise Prowl, but man, those purple blooshes would be great for Galvatron's cannon.

The endings of your segments be the best comedy, wish you had episodes of them I’m always tuned to the end

One thing that still bites me is that fans would rather get the alive figures, not the corpses of the figures. Why would hasbro make the corpses of said figures?

I have the original Earthrise Prowl and SS86 Ironhide. I will put them shooting Megatron while he's on his knees begging for mercy. Also have the Netflix Soundwave and Earthrise Starscream, CW constructicons, Target Villain pack seekers, etc. They will be already dead on the floor as well in my diorama.

I honestly highly recommend the toyhax set for Ironhide, it gives 2 options for the yellow stripe and all the details they add *really* make him pop. And one of the stickers would finish the unpainted back windows on this version (why Hasbro, you charge enough that a little more paint won't kill you). Definitely one of the best Toyhax sets I've bought. As for these figures I half want to get them just to swap out Prowl's waist and legs for the grey thighs/non transclearent legs.

This two pack is OK but would really made it worth it for me was being able to swap out the lower bodies. First off it makes Prowl a lot more fun since I’m not so terrified of the legs shattering and it gives Ironhide at least 90% of the stripe.

Funny story; I was just thinking “we don’t have a G1 studio series Ironhide/Rachet…” then this came out

I know some people will kitbash clean versions of these figures, but I can't help but wonder if a 3rd party company will step in and make replacement parts? Different heads and chests, or maybe just a chest cover for Ironhide.

I hope hasbro makes Bumblebee movie cliffjumper that splits in half, DOTM Ironhide covered in cosmic rush and each part of his body falls off, 07 Jazz that also splits into two pieces, AOE Ratchet toy where you can remove his spark with a lockdown accessory, and finally an ultra magnus figure that breaks into pieces. Hasrbo would make a lot of money with toys recreating moments that made us sad. also nice review emgo!

I hope they release a version of these without the damage and without the clear plastic. The colors look so much better on these.

I was expecting IronHide to give a very weak "But Prime!" at the end there.

I really want Prowl to come to the Studio Series 86 line where he has the same mold as the Earthrise version but more cartoon accurate.

It's interesting to see how they've changed the 240Z mould. The remodelled torso is clearly a single piece instead of the to part structure of the earlier release (meaning the Lazy eyebrow light mod won't work with it). Definitely like the move away from brittle clear plastic, though. The blue for the screens is a little bright for my personal taste but a lot nicer than stress marks on clear.

I have that mold as silverstreak, it also sometimes doesnt close the legs properly. It may be something about the angle because I have closed them well at least 2 of 5 times so it might have a trick
