@Han’made Designs i don't wear make up my lovely so i can't help you there (🙋‍♀older woman lol ).. but i can with your Embroidery ....when doing Embroidery, try floating your fabric on top of the hoop and then pin the fabric around the edges.. myself and most other people do it this way as it stop all the messing about of trying to hoop the fabric.. lots of tutorials on youtube... not sure if allowed to link you any here?
@HanmadeDesigns
@HanmadeDesigns Жыл бұрын
Fab thank you Nessie! I've always hooped the fabric, just out of habit really, and seen others have lots of success with floating but never gave it a try. I'll have to have a look further into doing it. Do you find you have better results with it? Or are they the same, just much easier because of not having to hoop?

@@HanmadeDesigns hi hunni floating doesn't leave hoop burns ( marks ) on the fabric it can be alot better for the fabric.. especially with thicker fabric ...you also said about the stitching .... I use 60wt for the top thread.... 40wt for the bottom thread.. this makes nice stitch out on fabric

@@Winkie_Designs Sounds great, and definitely worth a try! Thank you for the helpful tips. I'm pretty confident with my laser machine, but use my embroidery machine mainly for hobbies, and enjoy learning how to improve and get better results!!

Hello 😊 I am also trying to figure out embroidery on a machine and I don't understand what you mean by "floating the fabric on top of the hoop", should I place it on top without putting it between the 2 pieces of the hoop? 🤔 So to what do I pin it? Sorry if this sounds silly but english isn't my mother tongue so I didn't understand your advice 😊 Thanks a lot!
@Winkie_Designs
@Winkie_Designs Жыл бұрын
@@petitespoir9965 you must use some kind of stabilizer.. place this between your hoops.. then place your fabric on top of your hoops.. then pin your fabric to the stabilizer close to the edges of the hoop all the way around.. i hope you can understand what i mean.. if not just ask away hun ok.😊

Great video, the jackets so cute! Try IT cosmetics CC cream for oily skin. That’s what I use. It’s great for sensitive skin too 🥰❤️xxxxxxx

I always enjoy watching your videos and thank you for sharing them with us. You might want to look at the Bare minerals powder foundation. It has a light coverage while being natural too which might accommodate your sensitive skin.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I love bare minerals! We used to have a counter local to us, and I would use some of their products (i loved their soft highlighter) but unfortunately the department store closed, and so did the counter. Really wishing their was another counter to go to, as I miss their make up!

Love the Minnie on her jacket, it’s adorable! Hannah you don’t need foundation! Your skin is lovely. If anything I use a CC cream that has sunscreen and a serum to lock in moisture. ❤

Thank you, she's been recognising everything Minnie Mouse lately, so thought it seemed the best one to pick. Thank you, I take pride in wearing a good SPF to protect my skin, but currently looking for something to lock in the moisture especially with these winter days. I've heard a lot of people recommend a CC cream, so this may be the way forward thank you. Is there a particular one you recommend? 💖

Hello Hannah. Thanks for sharing. I watch your studio vlogs and just caught up on them and found this one which was 1 month ago. Anyway, you inspire me so much and I just started my own business; where I sell greeting cards and do personalised items( sublimations). I am also so happy you do skillshare as I watch so many lessons especially procreate, running a business and photoshop. I will be catching up on ur lessons and ordering the SEO Etsy shop guide as I need to work on my shop. last year I turned my side hustle into a business and so far I got 16 sales but need to work on the shop more. I will be catching up on the rest of your vlogs and I do hope you post more videos about running a business, and marketing and continue to show bits about your life and what u enjoy doing. Again thanks :) Alloy :)

Hey Han! I don’t wear foundation either because I have psoriasis and everything turns to a flakey mess! I used to just use concealer but I found the CC Cream from 17 in boots. It’s super cheap too! :)

I have the same problem having such dry skin, it just seems to sit and go flakey. I look much better without than when I attempt it 🙈 I tried the loreal CC cream, and it was ok at first and then hasn't really lasted very well. I always used to use 17 from boots, so this sounds like a good call to try! Thank you 💖

I have also tried several foundations but was never really happy until I tried Max Factor Miracle Pure. It contains vitamine C as well as a SPF30 which I find very handy. Hope this is helpful. (I have very light skin and have color 50. It is called ‘natural rose’.)

Oh this sounds good if it combines both the SPF, vitamin c and some coverage. Thank you for the suggestion. My skin is very pale and dry, especially through these winter months!

Hey Hannah 🙋🏻‍♀️ I am so happy that you'll be more focusing on YT, I love your videos 💖 The topics you suggested are great and I will be very interested to learn from your 10 years of business experience. I just started a business (my own website and an Etsy shop) and I struggle a lot to reach my perfect target. I've done (I think) everything that I should do on Etsy (lots of pictures, a video of the product, appropriate tags and description,...) and still nothing happens. I believe that my products (hand made kids toys) are great but I can't seem to be able to sell them 😅 So I'll take every advice that you want to share about how to become successful on Etsy and everything else. Also, thanks to your advice I finally bought an embroidery machine and I have great fun with it 😘 Thank you for your help everytime I ask you a question, I trully appreciate it ❤️

Thank you so much! I took me a good year to start getting momentum with my `etsy shop and for it to be sustaining itself, before that the orders were very few and far between. I looked at making things seasonal, and gearing my products (and tags and titles towards those seasons). For example for Christmas Gift under £10 etc. Oooo yey for the embroidery machine!! How are you getting on? I really enjoy mine, but find i'm always learning with it. I've still got lots more I want to create and make with it 😃 💖

@@HanmadeDesigns oh so it's normal that it takes some time 😅 I'll try to apply your advice then, thank you!! Oh I had my embroidery machine only for a couple of days but I LOOOOOVE making things. For now I just tried different designs on different fabrics to see what works. Tomorrow I will try to customize my sweater 😁😁 You're right it's so much fun 💖😘
