Tokito is well respected within the corp. He became a hashira only 2 months after joining the demon slayer corp. so even before the mark he was considered a prodigy.

The paper planes we make today are based on the design of a dart rather than a plane. We just call them that because the paper ends up having wings that look like a plane. The show takes place in the early 1900s and planes were just recently then being invented so they still weren't known about. Idk why the word plane was used but honestly it doesn't break the show.

For the blue spider lili, it’s not really a spoiler without the extra details so I think it’s fine to say the information here. For those who do want the spoilers: Tanjiro and Nezuko’s mom would make tea from the blue spider lili for them because it grew near their house during the daytime and this is important because it’s actually the reason why Nezuko and Tanjiro are immune to the sun even when they are demons. And yes you read that correctly, Tanjiro eventually becomes a demon sometime through the storyline.

13:55 Actually guys … Tanjiro briefly remembered the Blue Spider Lily during this fight with Rui the Spider Demon. Tanjiro is the only living human right now who has seen the lily.

Most of the last 2 episodes were fillers but they've done it really well giving time...The only cannon part I remember is muichiro telling tanjiro to proceed to next training and the mitsuri part post credits

This is all cannon bro. It's 5 days of training. And it shows what happened in these 5 days. Hashira training arc in the manga was very short and bad. This was probably because Gotouge was hasty towards the end. That's why there were nonsense in the Hashira strength logic in the manga. They're probably trying to improve these mistakes in the anime.

@@Raidon8537 what I meant was these were not depicted in the manga...and ufotable have expanded upon it . Allows the audience to relate to the hashiras much better before the infinity castle arc . These episodes may be called anime cannon .

For all those who are confused about this "filler" season, the manga was sped up for the creator's personal reasons, meaning a lot of things were overlooked or not explored at all. This arc does not contain any relationship between the various pillars or especially with the recruits, ufotable is adding canonical "fillers" with the story. All of this content is creator-viewed content so it's extras that were supposed to be in the manga but unfortunately we didn't get it. We have ufotable to thank for these essential extras for us readers of the manga

The author did not speed anything up for personal reasons, that was fake misinformation from gossip magazine. Also the arc absolutely contained all of that beforehand. And no, all of this is written purely by Ufotable with no outside help, the author was not involved at all, and you can certainly tell with the writing quality. Please do not spread this kind of misinformation. There is enough misinformation spread around with Demon Slayer.

I’m guessing they’ll break it up into 2 parts(I hope not tho cuz the last bit of the story flows together so well I hope they do it all at once!! But I doubt they will.) I kinda consider the training and infinity castle arcs one big arc, and if they do break it up there’s not really any good places to stop imo. 🤔 I really can’t think of a decent place to end the training arc b4 the infinity castle stuff starts unless they make a filler episode or something like that. The intro gives me hope that they MIGHT do it all at once or it’s just a big tease!

The earliest paper planes were made 2000 years ago, they predate actual airplanes. Considering the amount of time people had back in the day and paper folding as an art form, this isn't surprising.

To answer your question at 8:02, no it's not because he has the mark. The mark is a tap-in ability like most anime powerups. It doesn't enhance your base form. Once he unleashes his mark, yes, he becomes much more stronger, but it's not a permanent buff.

@@AaryanRKO In terms of talent, yes, tokito is 14 years old, sanemi is 21-22 old, the only thing that keeps tokito at the same level as the others is the lack of experience, without wanting to give spoilers, but in the future we will see a fight in which sanemi will perform better than tokito even if there is no mark at that moment

Wind and Snake are actually much stronger than Mist. The training is not a real indicative for their real strength and Mist holding his own vs the two just shows he is on the same tier as them but technically wind is the strongest between the 3 there is a reason his training is 2nd to the last to the actual strongest guy in the corps Also Tokito is also waaaay younger than everybody including Tanjirou iirc like 14 years old. Tanjirou is like close to 20 at this point or something

No, the mark. It only makes you stronger when Tokito appears. He is close to the level of the two of them because he training a lot, and another thing, Tokito is barely 13 years old. In the next season, he will be 14 years younger than Tanjiro.

I know this is just my opinion but I'm not enjoying all this filler... After I watch the episodes I go read the manga, and I can't but feel like the manga was aware all this was too slow and started just brushing over the training with the hashira we already know... Ufotable turning a page and a half into 20 minutes of repeated "fighting sequences" between bozos and a hashira, and a pile of meaningless dialogue just feels utterly boring... After an extended first episode and 3 normal length ones we're just halfway through a 9 chapter training arc. We are hitting One Piece stretching figures right here And don't get me wrong is not about "if it is not in the manga then it's bad", I loved the scene on the first episode about Sanemi and Obanai for example... Or all the extended fights throughout the show... But this is borderline too much for me

Do airplanes exist in this world? If not this filler just admitted they do. They said kamihikouki. Hikouki is the japanese word for airplane. They wouldn't call them that if airplanes didn't already exist.

The first plane was invented in 1903, this show takes place in the Taisho Period (1912-1926) so more recent than most people would think, and i believe paper planes have existed before actual airplanes. edit: so yeah they may well have early planes in the show since they've already shown trains and stuff.

Frustrating that there is so much filler in this season, because this episode was legit just one page of the manga. I really hope we focus more on the hashira so it feels like it matters, but so far we are just covering characters we already know about
