Nope! Not weird. I love it too. There is anothet girl I watch that can trim really good as well. Her channel name is "deeper than hair" she said, everyone saids that. Lol those trims are one of the main reasons why I watch these girls.

Nothing beats trimming off dead ends. My natural hair is curly and the winter air wrecks havoc on curls and drys it out so much. A good deep conditioning treatment and trim always leave me feeling revitalized and fresh!!

Now this is how you supposed to trim ends. Some cosmetologist on YT cut off way to much hair for a trim. Like there's a difference between trim and a haircut. He did a great job on the trimming!

This is why trims are so important omg I’m trimming my hair as soon as I take out my braids 😳 edit: I trimmed it and only had to trim like a 1/4 of an inch. My hair doesn’t get damaged I guess because I don’t manipulate it much

I swear, good trims/cuts make the hair look longer and fuller. Glad she let you do that. Scraggly ends only will make it worse in the long run.
