Love it! Thank you for the great video! I'm a seamstress- if you pin the bottom to the sides before whip stitching, it will ease in the fullness and you won't end up with a pleat / tuck. When the bottom fabric is cut, the bias parts (the sections with diagonal weave) will stretch the second you start handling it. So pin the bottom to the sides together with pins or safety pins all the way around and it will fit perfectly with some finessing. It's also important when drawing the circle to be very accurate so the bottom and side meet and you don't end up with a big tuck like she did or it being too small of a bottom, that's much worse. As she says, it's the bottom and so it doesn't matter if you get a tuck- unless it matters to you! Both ways are good!

I love your basket. I am just starting out with punch needle so this will be on my to do list. I bought a lavor 4mm hook and a gripper frame some monks cloth and I am away. I love my new hobby. Hi Vera, I love this idea for a basket! I am one that tends to go off the beaten path and create new things. I like how the seams worked out with the whip stitch and since it gives support and stiffness you could even make a box with 4 edges. I think that would look so interesting, don’t you think? Hi Vera! I love your vids so much, thanks for sharing! I actually want to try this out, I’ve got the recommended tools but I’ve come to realize that the monks cloth/ Panama cotton is a little hard to come by. What is your advise in finding a good amount for projects for a good price?

Hi! I tried punching needle with monks cloth and it didn't work for me it was so hard to get the needle in I don't know what I was doing wrong so I have been making my project with burlap fabric and it worked but I would really like to try monks cloth again I just don't know why I couldn't make it work.
