@@JezereeGajelomo Yup! I am also scared as the application process highly gets competitive. Also, there are some changes regarding scholarship benefits like there will be no installation and travel costs. Instead, they will increase the monthly allowance.

@@valoisolarte6670 Let’s hope for the best results!🤞 Yes! Even if next year’s intake will no longer include travel and installation cost, with the increased monthly living allowance, scholars will receive 2,600 EUR more in total compared to the previous years. 😃

Hi! I have a question regarding settling in a specific country. So, after completing the Master's degree, will I get a job search visa (and work permit) in the countries I studied? Or, do I have to come back to my home country after finishing my studies?

If you got the Erasmus Scholarship, you are not required to go back to your home country after finishing the studies. If you want to stay in Europe, you can apply for the job search visa but only in one country that you have studied in.

Hi, thanks a lot for this great information. Could you kindly tell me, how much money did you have to spend before you received your scholarship after going to Europe? I mean, how much did you initially spend on the accommodation from your savings? Other expenses like visa fees etc. How much did you have to borrow for all of these expenses before your received your first installment of scholarship money in Europe? Thanks in advance.

Hi! I couldn’t answer as to the exact amount really, but one thing is for sure, it was definitely not more than the travel and installation cost that they gave me during my first academic year. Also, I made sure to arrive in Europe exactly a month before getting my first scholarship to avoid unnecessary spending.

Hello Aiswarya & Ana! Apologies for my late response. After graduating from the Masters, partner country students have the option to apply for a one year job search visa. So you have the option to either to stay in Europe and look for a job or go back to your home country. ☺️

Correct me if I’m wrong but does it mean you had to pay for everything first (one-way ticket so europe, your rent and your first two months of living allowance) and then the EU commission just reimbursed it when you arrived there?

Yes, I did. However, it really depends on the program you are in. Some programs give the scholarship allowance ahead, some will give it after a few months.

Hey! You need to look further on your preferred program/s listed on the Erasmus catalogue. Most of the programs that I know of, offers the scholarship for 2 years.

My application for the EMJMD Degreen in Chemical NanoEngineering was approved but I am not granted with the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. However, I was offered a scholarship grant by Aix Marseille University, France, financed by the French government, amounting to 10,000 euros per year. The 1,500 euros will be used to cover the tuition fee, leaving the remaining 8,500 euros for living expenses, travel costs, etc. May I ask if the 8,500 euros/year enough for my study in France-Poland-Italy? Hey, congratulations on your acceptance! The allowance is enough to survive. However, you really need to be tight on your budget. If you’ll decide to push through, it would be helpful to connect with other Filipino alumni under this program so that you can get some tips and ideas on the estimated cost of living on the city where you’ll be based. Also, I’m not quite sure if this applies to your program but maybe you can ask your program coordinator if they offer mobility allowance during your 2nd semester / 3rd semester.

I’m really looking forward to be able to study in Europe despite the humble allowance. After all, this is my dream program and it was my second time applying. Hello! Thanks for the very informative video. Question: Did you have to show a bank balance statement to apply for a student visa? Was there a required amount/proof of financial capability? Or is that waived because of the scholarship?

Hey! When I applied for the student visa, I presented the official scholarship acceptance. No need to present a bank statement. Also, my visa application was free of charge. :)

Is IELTS mandatory at any stage of the process (application, visa, etc.) or one can clear all stages with English Proficiency Certificate (Assuring that the language of instructions was English during my bachelor)?

As for my case, IELTS was not mandatory. I only provided a Certificate of Medium of Instruction.

Honestly, chances are quite slim to get a European citizenship immediately after the program. Most students usually apply for the one year job search visa after finishing the program. :)

I've been watching your vlogs and it's been helpful since I'm applying too soon! 🤞🏻I wanted to ask ⏤ what is the breakdown of the total of 49,000 euros, since the monthly allowance is 1000 euros per month and the installation/travel allowance is 2000-4000 euros? Also, how did you receive the allowance? Did you have to open a bank there abroad?

Hey Phoebe! Here’s the breakdown for the 49,000 EUR. • 18,000 - for the tuition fees (9,000 per academic year for Partner Country Students) • 24,000 - 24 months worth of living allowance • 4,000 - beginning of the first academic year, travel and installation allowance • 3,000 - beginning of the second academic year, travel allowance Since I am coming from a partner country, they required me to open a European bank account.

By the way, the rules have changed from 2022 , there will be 1400 euros per month for 2 years and No installation or travelling allowance, those are now included in stipend. The per semester fee will be directly sent to the colleges.

Employability rate is high after graduating from any Erasmus program. We are also given the opportunity to apply for a one year job search visa after finishing the masters.
