The more I watched tape on Smith, the more I couldn't believe he feel to the 5th Rd. Clearly looks like one of the best slot/gadget players in the draft, plus one of the best returners with the new kickoff rules. Built perfectly for a team like the eagles who only ever need him to play in the slot. The absolute perfect combination of talent, value, and positional need. Can't wait to see what Keelen Moore can do with him

Man!!! you are on to something! Kellen Moore did say in his presser for some games guys are going to be a decoy. I can see that happening with Saquon and A. Smith, especially with a version of that last play! I wouldn't be surprised if you revisit this post reminding us you called it first! If Kellen gets the Offense clicking with all these weapons, no more stale tastykake play calling, and the Defense locks down that over the top crap from last season, the Eagles will go deep in the Playoffs. Murph, thanks for the breakdown. Smith's willingness to engage with larger defenders and protect the ball on that inside run is impressive. Hands catching, gear switching, and toughness at WR makes for a nice complimentary piece with Brown and Smith. I've already forgotten who last year's number 3 WR was.

I have been on record back when I covered the Dolphins as not liking Parker very much, and I was right about him as he ended up getting moved from Miami when its fan base said I was bugging. I think he has a role of doing exactly what Julio Jones did, though, which wasn't much. D. Smith, Brown, A. Smith, Wilson, Campbell... A. Smith can return punts really well, so I'd take him over Campbell if they want to keep Parker because of his size... But I'd want to keep Campbell, too, until he got hurt. Maybe Wilson on the Practice Squad?! Joe Ngata is still on the team, and I think he's a perfect guy to be behind Brown, as they play similar. I'd keep him over Parker. I'd cut Covey. As for RB, I'd roll with Barkley, Shipley, TDP. I"m a fan of Gainwell, and it appears the Eagles brass is too.

Bro, that's a great question. He was used more like a Debo Samuel a lot in his career and maybe some teams don't know how to evaluate that type of skill set? To me he's a cat that goes in the late 2nd early 3rd. Going in the 5th to one of the best rosters in football is NUTS and CASHEWS!!
