In today's video i am critiquing each component of my current (updated) organization system for university. I breakdown the pros and cons of each organization method and rate it out of 10! I changed it up a bit with the editing, let me know if you like it!

Tip: If you want to make your notebook notes more structured you can add a personalised index page. It may not be ideal but it was an idea that I had completely overlooked. Hope this helps! loved the video ❤️

@@studycollab Maybe you can use a clearbook since you can take out the sliding plastic and add more sleeeves within the spiral.

I definitely would go with digital specifically Goodnotes and Notion. I actually am planning to use the digital system in my 1st semester of nursing school in August. I am going to use Goodnotes for note-taking and annotating ppts and ebooks, and Notion for overall organization (school and personal). As far as notes on Notion, I will be using only the toggle feature for active recall questions and embedding my notes from Goodnotes. I believe using the digital system will be a game changer for me in nursing school, especially because I'm use to taking notes on paper and pencil and storing them in a binder and folders. I just love the idea that everything (i.e. notes, ppt, textbooks, etc.) is in 1 place -- the iPad -- and how easily I can share material via my Macbook pro or Google drive.

Alicia i swear your editing just gets more and more amazing each time, this was so entertaining to watch how you have created it❤️❤️. I definitely want to use Goodnotes more from September for notes 📝 as I used Notability endlessly. Also the lecture note making printing is a great idea sometimes I think constant screen learning isn't great for the eyes 👀 , but how you have organised them once printed Im loving... thank you for this 😁🇬🇧

During my foundation year, I love using the "binder notebook" but now I'm in medical school, I use goodnotes and notion to keep things organized as I think they are portable and just one click away! Plus, you don't need to have large textbooks with you all the time and get your room messy with papers

As someone who will be using their iPad to take notes in class, I think the iPad with GoodNotes will win. It’s just so much more convenient but retains the handwritten note taking aspect, which helps you remember your notes better.

Great video! There are display folders that are refillable and they are personally what I use not to store notes but to store printed files, handouts, and worksheets. I want to get into using refillable notebooks but my school provides us with composition notebooks for free and it would be a waste not to use them, so I'll wait until college :>

What’s the storage size of your iPad Pro? I have a 256 GB iPad Pro and I’m wondering of it will be enough to store all of lecture slides and all of that for Good Notes and what paper size are you using in Good Notes to get them to print out perfectly like that? Thank you so much for this video. I came here from your previous organisation video. I've just signed up to notion and will have a display notebook handy for the handouts I get in lectures. One question though: Is there a way to quickly and efficiently transfer physical handout materials onto notion? I think I'd prefer it if all of my notes were in the same place but that might be difficult to do with a mix of digital and physical.

I finally could afford an Ipad for digital note taking 5 days ago. I would say, it´s genius. I took paper notes many years. But during college, it just gets messier. It takes soooo much time, if you are a perfectionist and hate it when you make erros while writing. I would just literally rip the page out and write new which is time consuming. It does help with memorizing stuff, tho!

Hi, I asked this question on your last video, but it didn't get answered: are you using the Excel method to track your spaced revision instead of Notion? Or are you incorporating both Notion and Excel into how you revise for an exam? I’m asking because with your Notion video I saw that you use both the toggle method and track revision using the calendar, but on your Excel video it only showed you only tracking your revision using the color coded method, so I was wondering about what exactly are you doing in regards to that. Hi! I’m not Alicia but from what I understand, she uses Notion to track her spaced repetition throughout the semester so starting from learning the content all the way to however many SP she wants to do in order to make the topic stick. This is when she uses the toggle method and the calendar to organise the days when she needs to do whichever lecture to follow the SP curve. On the other hand, she uses excel as a more general tracking method for exam revision to make sure she’s done everything and that she’s ready for exams. This requires redoing SP again closer to exams to refresh her memory on the topic she’s already learnt. Notion is a more detailed way to organise SP due to the calendar and toggle list whereas excel gives more of a visual overview on how she’s doing due to the color coding. Hopefully this answers your question. If I said smth wrong, please feel free to correct! :)

I passed my first year off uni and just going to start my second. I failed two modules out of 6 and I was 1 mark off passing one and 3 marks passing from the other but coz of COVID and that my uni had a new policy in place and cause I failed the modules by less then 5 marks a They allowed me to pass overall. I was lucky. I could’ve reset them if I wanted to but my marks don’t go towards my final grade so there was no point. I can’t wait to start year two and focus more on my study techniques and organisation

what do you think about notebooks like kokuyo or discbound. I like to use it because you can refill it and reorder it. Very convenient. And I wish Notion will have a free writing mode soon. or write on the pdfs

what paper template do you use on good notes? Im having issues with the writing in my notes being barely big enough to read if I print my notes out and for whatever reason I can’t find a template that helps me write big enough because all the lines are sooo small I guess

I use the narrow lined A4 paper. But I usually zoom in the screen when I write 👍
