Video ini dibuat oleh mahasiswa program studi Ilmu dan Teknologi Pangan Universitas Bakrie. Mereka membuat perbandingan antara anggapan orang umum dengan aktivitas sebenarnya yang mereka jalani selama kuliah di bidang tersebut.
This video was made by undergraduate students of Universitas Bakrie from the Department of Food Science and Technology. Briefly, they demonstrated comparisons between general public's thought and their actual activities as college students taking Food Science courses.

I totally agree... even im sudy in food science but I need to choose specialized in food managment or food marketing but I still struggle with the core subject in food science..

What's the difference between bsc food science and bsc food technology? or is it same?

Food science deals with the study of physical, chemical and psycho-chemical aspects of food. General studies include microbiology, chemistry and engineering. On the other hand, Food technology is the application of Food science---- food processing technology and storage technology such as freezing, sterilization, etc. in food.

Yes, Its hard to explain to them 😄,even our government still doesnt clearly know the difference. And our practice are late 10 years behind them,. btw iam food technologist from Brawijaya Univ.

no, i have my Bachelor's degree in food science from Michigan State University. They offer up to a phd but I chose to stop at my bachelors of science in FOOD SCIENCE with a dual concentration in Food packaging and Food business industry. Can't get a degree with those concentrations anywhere but MSU although many universities offer food science majors.
