This belief may be fueled by cultural norms that promote male sexual entitlement and female sexual passivity. Mental illness: Some rapists have mental illnesses, such as personality disorders or paraphilias. However, it is important to note that the vast majority of people with mental illnesses are not rapists. Substance abuse: Alcohol and drug use can impair judgment and increase the risk of sexual violence. However, substance abuse is not an excuse for rape. *It is important to note that rape is never the victim's fault. My doctoral thesis in 2021 was on Bollywood as a promoter of Eveteasing culture among youth. Apart from cinema, literature(novels, stories, songs, drama...) and digital media (serials, videos, posts, pictures, pornography) promote eveteaing. Unpunished eveteasing emboldens the eve teaser to commit heinous crimes such as rape, murder and acid attacks.

Legal system doesn't let any criminal to escape after committing rapee. Indeed laws are more women biased due to which 80% cases filed are false and mostly targetted to get revenge by women. The cases you are mentioning cover those economically poor sections which go through rapee several times by economically ,politically powered society and legal system never even phuu dust on them . Though becoz of social media,some light have now started to reach on this dark spot and system also became active in fear of getting rapee news outspread so fast these days

@@thunderp1719 Because of existing inadequate laws and laxity on the part of Executive body there is no fear of Law, not only for the Rapists but for all sort of law violators. Take for example the Traffic Law violation. Under the nose of Police only violations are done. To instil law abiding nature the punishment must be stringent. Rape is a heinous crime againat women and children and must be punished severely so as to instil fear in the would be perpetrators.

It all starts from what we see in our homes, what we see in tv and what kind of moral and value we recieve from our parents and society as well. Educating both boys and girls about the sex education is the need of the hour. there are many instances when a girl is touched inappropriately by one the the family member , but she doesn't know what is bad and what is good. when she grow up and get knowledge about these things, she realise that she was touched wrong in private parts , she was being sexually harrassed and she didnt even knew. many cases get unnoticed and unspoken because of the image and respect of a family in the society. Boys are given too much of leverage . they should be taught how to behave with girls by his parents. A Father always stops his daughter to make male friends , tell her to stay safe , wear full clothes, change routes when something happen, tell her to study at home only. but no such thing happen to a boy. A male is well aware of the reality of the mindset of another male, thats why they doesnt like it when a girl talk and become friend with a male . but is this solution? the solution is the teach the boys about their limits and action. this need to be change . A mother should tell his son how to behave with a girl and a father should tell how not to behave with the girls. education and awareness from a young age is the only solution. and yes , the mentality of society towards the victim need to change, the disgust they feel towards the victim should actually be for the rapist.

Excellent video 👍. Trying to bottle up human hormones in a coat of virtue instead of addressing them frankly is the main reason why there's both excessive rapes and excessive virtue peddling (particularly by those in authority like judges and police) in present day India. Practical, effective and timely ways of addressing psychological issues and handling sexual frustration needs to be built into the society. This, along with training women on hard and soft skills of self defence, situational awareness and deterrence can help reduce the number of rapes. Our ancestors had, from time to time, devised some interesting ways to handle these situations - something that we have lost and forgotten along the way.

@@DineshYadav-zt6mf पूरी तरह से सहमत। वैसे तो कई उदाहरण हैं। जैसे अजय देवगन की गोलमाल फिल्म। उस फिल्म में, काॅलेज के प्राचार्य को हरामी कहकर अजय देवगन आदि लोग बुलाते हैं तथा मारते भी हैं। इस दृश्य को ऐसे दिखाया गया जिससे वो कूल लगे। यदि महिला अध्यापक को दिखाना होता है, तो भी फूहड़ता ही दिखाई जाती है, जैसे कि साड़ी का पल्लू आदि गिर जाना। फिल्में, वेब सीरीज, अश्लील घटिया गाने, नृत्य कला के नाम पर केवल और केवल कूल्हों तथा वक्षों का मटकाना आदि समाज का सर्वनाश कर रहीं हैं। तथा इसका कोई उपाय नहीं है।

As so many cases are pending, there should be established a separate court to deal the cases of women only... It shoud have authority equal to the Supreme Court( it can be a branch of Supreme Court but very different).. This can be a great help to our judicial system.

Parenting is the responsibility of both parents. Not just mothers. Behaviour is first learnt at home. Kids will learn by example. If father isn't respecting the mother, the child will learn the same. Onus is on both mothers and fathers to teach their sons to respect women and respect consent.
