Our professor taught us this poem so beautifully. I thought this was just simple poem before but I was literally speechless when she talked about the background of Ezekiel. She told us about how him and his family were perceived as outcasts just because they were Jews and how this poem probably shows Ezekiel's inner desire to be accepted and supported by the society he lived in (Peasants gathering to kill the scorpion/comfort his mother)
