Shock Troopers vs tanks is all I ever wanted! And for anyone wondering, Shock Troopers cannot be run over. That's a feature they have.

@Lemon Acid Rounds Well, running over an enemy heavily armored can cause track damage, and permanently immobilize a vehicle.

Interesting how some of the V2s seemed to know that they needed to go for the buildings rather than just firing at the first enemy that was in range.

My score card: 1st fight: Guard Towers (Correct) 2nd fight: V2s (Correct) 3rd fight: Shock Troopers (Correct) 4th fight: Flame Throwers (Wrong) 5th fight: Ore Truck (Correct, as Ore Trucks self-repair, it is actually impossible for Tanya to win) 6th fight: Allies (Wrong, I was unsure about the AI quality. With optimal AI, Volkov would have won in less than a minute) 7th fight: Gauntlet (Wrong, barely)

AI doesn't build kennels(im not 100% sure though) so it wouldn't had made difference.

I'm sure for the Flamethrower vs. Grenadier fight, the Flamethrower's death explosions did more damage to their own Barracks more than the actual Grenadiers themselves!

3:55 - The "free mod" is just terrific. I never figured Grenadiers is that much better than Flamethrowers. Although flamers die to too drastically - I like the flame animation better in TD compared to RA.

From watching past videos I came to the conclusion that my instinctive choice was always dead wrong - thus in choosing the _opposite_ of who I expect to win, I was able to predict just about every outcome in _this_ video

Volkov fight was awesome, thought for sure he was doomed then he got the war factory and it became a real fight. Grenadiers vs flame throwers had some amazing mass suicides.

Grenadiers are the single most unreliable infantry unit in existence. On one hand they can drop multiple enemy units in a single volley via a chain reaction. Then on the other hand they explode when killed taking others with them.

In making these, have you found these fights to “scale” fairly proportionally? I.e. is 10 infantry vs 2 tanks the same as 100 infantry vs 20 tanks?

Really depends on the matchup! Flamethrowers will be weaker in large amounts for obvious reasons, whereas fast units like Light tanks will be stronger in large amounts if there is enough room to surround the opponent.

I just thought of something, for the actual price comparison you may have to include the cost of power generators as well. Not that it'll make a massive difference in the infantry army vs 16 Advanced Guard Towers, but still it'd be nice for completeness.

@@DomesticatedCantaloupe I think he means the Advanced Guard Tower because I was confused too at first then I realized. The antenna looks like an arm and the slope below the windows looks like a duck bill.

@@DomesticatedCantaloupe It's not that hard. The yellow part is the beak, the windows are the eyes, the antenna looks like a hand shaped into a pistol pointing upwards. The Guard Tower does though look rather silly normally and back in the days with the crappy graphics brain had to help with what it looks like. For me it reminds me of Donald Duck from an above view.
