I've had this stumpgrinder a few years now, and it still does a good job , as long as the operater is fairly fit........and the teeth are sharp!!

A tiny metal detector?!? I never knew those existed. Great idea for this application.

I agree! And what about the winch-assist into the back of the box truck?!

Good video.... wonder how long that job took in total?

Do you think it would fit into a Honda CRV boot? Trying to save on a hire delivery...

Possibly but probably not and they are not the lightest of stump grinders

If you're not concerned about the lawn the grinder wheel will pull it along like a walk behind mower

How long do the teeth last? Cheers
@jamiechandler52182 жыл бұрын
They do last a while because they have three sides to them,you can undo them and turn them, when they dull down a bit.

Were you fit before or after you started stump grinding with this one? That’s gonna be an added bonus to my journey!

Hasn’t done my shoulders any good put it that way , and it definitely feels like you’ve been to the gym if you’re using it all day I’m going to be getting an hydraulic one soon

@@jamiechandler5218I didn’t even think about the long-term effects! Good luck with your purchase. I’m gonna battle it out with these smaller ones then, like you, invest in one that does most of the work for me! How long did it take you for this stump?

how long did it take to grind 1 stump?

Felt like a bloody lifetime... Those grinders aren’t designed to do big stumps but I’m a glutton for punishment. I only use it on small stuff now. The biggest one I have a groundout was a Cedar and that was 4 ft across. I would love to buy a hydraulic one but just don’t have the funds, anyway they just make you lazy

I had to watch this with no sound (someone else in the room watching TV), but from the video it looks like it works pretty good for a small machine. I think these small grinders might put the big grinder machine manufacturers out of business. I like you comment that the operator has to be fit in order to push the thing around (I assume). But why does the operator need sharp teeth?
@jamiechandler52182 жыл бұрын
I just fell off my chair laughing 😂it’s not the operator that needs sharp teeth it’s the machine…….

Where do you buy your cutters?? Can they be sharpened?
@jamiechandler5218 Жыл бұрын
EBay and yes they can be sharpened. There are three side on them so they can be turned.

Love the video.

@@34acrehomestead83 You lay them flat and sharpen them that way, so the edges never really wear down. It’s just the top flat piece If that makes sense
@34acrehomestead8311 ай бұрын
@@jamiechandler5218 have you did a video doing that? If not can you? When you lay them flat what are you using to sharpen with? Sorry for being a pain.
