They eat crops, unfortunately, but there are more and better ways that you can prevent that. Fine mesh over the fruit crops to prevent them from getting at it (with holes smaller than your fingers so they don't get tangled up!) and decoy fruit trees that bear fruit that aren't useful to humans are some of the best.

FabFour Fever fear from undereducation. Aside from wanting to protect trees they also think the best way to protect themselves and their child is to just shoot and don't ask. Flying-foxes don't come up to you and try to bite you. Even flying over your head is safe or feeding in your garden, it is a safe distance. If people knew they were a big part of our ecosystem and actually gentle (unless in pain or protecting their pups like any other creature!) Maybe we'd have a better mentality around here.

Except for coyotes coyotes could go extinct said every dog and cat owner ever lol I may sound bad for saying it but it's the mentality America's known for. Though myself personally I think there should be some kind of area animals could live iand humans be shot if they're caught poaching said animals or hunting them. I'm not that big of an animal lover but there's a lot of beautiful animals out there going extinct because of the mentality

Yes, yes they are. Especially these ones, that are fruit bats. When they eat the fruit, they spread the seeds to other places in their waste, and while they feed from the nectar of flowers, polen gets stuck to their fur and it gets passed on to another flower. It's the same problem with the bees and beetles. People want to exterminate them because "I don't like them", and it's those same people who like having nice gardens and tasty fruit. Well, if you eliminate the creatures who help those flowers reproduce then you won't have your beautiful garden any longer, now will you. I guess they don't like eating either, since these creatures also help the crops grow.
