Because this home is one that is reminiscent of the sexy and sensual movie, '50 Shades of Grey'. With black being the mainstay color scheme in this home, it brings about the more provocative nature of this home.
Not to mention, unique ornaments such as a medieval status, a stag head and even brass lion head door knockers are used to dress up this stunning bachelor's pad.
And how can we forget about the extremely masculine loft bar in this home that was inspired by a Manhattan Bar. This is one home definitely not to be missed!

Alan is lucky to have got Carmen as his home ID.. It looks awesome with just $100k. I'm sure they had a light hearted interesting journey with Carmen being candid, bubbly, adventurous and straight forwardness.

Alltough it's not my personal aesthetic preferanse I appreciate the attention to detail in this project. Always nice to see a conceptually strong description from the designer as well, it shows that she has totality in mind with a firm eye on the master goal - to honor the clients visions. The job looks very well executed. A bonus for the client that the designer chose smart value options.

I think it's a brilliant apartment. It fits the theme that he wanted. He seems happy with it too. A design may not suit everyone, but if the homeowner is happy then that's what matters. That is the beauty of being individual. You have your own tastes

There is a line hovering between an inspired Manhattan bar that still resembles a home vs a full fledged themed party (that never ends). This is def entering into the latter category.. well, as long as the owner is having fun. That’s all that matters.

8:25 The sliding farm door seems so out of place against the otherwise modern, cosmopolitan aesthetic. Everything else is great though. It's nice to see bold choices.

The closet is spectacular. The peninsula is very impressive, and the marble looks very nice in the kitchen. The deck is also very impressive. The custom cabinets and furniture, some of which actually involve inventions I've never seen before, were definitely out of the ball park fantastic. But there are a few things that I think should be improved. I don't absolutely love the knight when you first walk into the home. It does not look as impressive as it seems like it should. I would change the picture with the gold deer head, because the floor tile does not look good there. It should be a solid piece of stone or something, and I think that is important because it is one of the first things you see and leaves you with an overall impression. I also do not like the wood that was chosen for the cabinets in the kitchen and the bar. It looks like cheap plywood that has been painted. I love spiral staircases. I think the bedroom looks pretty good, and I like the interesting light fixtures she chose. Her technique of painting stripes on the wall in the bedroom was interesting. I feel like the display on this wall could be improved, but it does look better with the stripes than without the stripes. With a few small tweaks related to the decor and the materials she chose, I think this designer could really create some jaw-dropping homes. But this home definitely looks a lot better than most and definitely has much more functional features.

Based on my experience staying in a dark painted place, it's depressing. Dark small spaces is only nice in photos and videos, looks chic and stuff but wait til you live on it.

Varnish on laminate flooring? Are you guys sure about the term to use for the materials or not?

they prolly meant a laminate floor polish then to varnish... wrong wording i guess

@@joshualee-gs9yv laminate floor.. Cannot polish one. It's prefinished product. It's likely timber flooring or engineered timber (which is also pre-finished, cannot be polished or re-stained)

Why can't you use varnish on laminate? Perhaps because people will not walk on it, it's possible. In theory, you can put varnish on many materials I guess.

That letter in Hebrew is not Grace and it is called "het" it means protect. U need another letter infront which is called "nun/noon" to form a word Grace (hen) in Hebrew. However nice home

This apartment has no identity! It’s so try hard! And I’m not sure if the home owner will be happy that the ID didn’t fail to mention that she uses cheaper alternative…. Entertaining video nevertheless!
