Join me as I weave this beautiful and colorful scarf on my Leclerc 4-shaft weaving loom. This project is part of a series in which I talk about weaving overshot. Overshot is such a fun technique that allows the weaver to create intricate handwoven pieces.

THE YARN
The warp and the tabby yarn are 8/2 cotton in the color "natural" (Naturel 100) from Maurice Brassard. I total, I used one full spool for the warp and parts of a second one for weaving the tabby. Here's where you can get the same yarn: woolery.com/maurice-brassard-...
For the pattern yarn, I used 8/4 cotton from Hobbii's Rainbow collection. I used 1 skein of those 6 different colors:
-Plum (080)
-Navy Blue (030)
-Jeans Blue (029)
-Light Jeans Blue (028)
-Deep Jungle Green (100)
Here's where you can get the same yarn: bit.ly/hobbiicotton
THE BOOK
For the pattern of the project, I followed a draft provided in Anne Dixon Book: The Handweaver’s Pattern Directory. This draft can be found at page 105 and it's called "Small Honey Suckle". Here’s where you can get this wonderful book: woolery.com/handweavers-patte...
THE LOOM
During the video, you can see my Leclerc Mecco table loom that had been converted into a floor loom. This loom has 4 shafts and the add-on treadles has 6 treadles. Here's a video where I give a tour of this loom: • Showing Every Details ...

If u don't have a bobbin winder yet... Just use a drill. Cheaper as well. The lady I bought my loom from just used a drill and so does a weaver I watch also.

My favorite color is the dark green. 😊 I’m wondering why you don’t seem to have a bobbin winder?? Do you prefer to hand wind the bobbins? If so, why? Thank you for sharing your videos!

💚 thank you! To answer you frankly, bobbin winders are expensive and I have had the chance to find one used that also fit my budget 🫤
