Stunning South Devon Coastal Drive

In this episode of Steven’s Four Wheels, I share with you one of my favourite drives, a scenic drive along the South Devon coast from Dawlish to Paignton. Along the way, I’ll call at the wonderful town of Teignmouth, the beautiful village of Shaldon and the ‘capital’ of the English Riviera, Torquay! I've not driven through shaldon before. I'll give it a go when my roadster comes out of hibernation in a few weeks time. Thanks for the tip.

Different varieties of palm trees next to all the cordylines in the towns? Sign me up for this beautiful gem that is South Devon.

Thanks for watching! I do love the palm trees there although I’m not sure on the different varieties. I’m hoping to film some more of these drives next summer 🏝👍

Chusan palm and Canaries date palm are widely grown species there. My neighbour has a Canaries date palm in their front garden. From Cornwall.

South Devon coast starts at Dawlish Warren, and runs all the way to Plymouth. A very long drive.

@@stevensfourwheels If at all, get to the most southerly point of Devon at Prawle Point, also one of the most southerly points on the British mainland next to Lizard Point. Slapton Sands along the south coast westwards is a nice drive. Just for the view, on a clear day can just about see the Lizard. From Bodmin.
