The simplicity and rawness of this is amazing and Jon's voice conveys so much emotion - a stunning version and tribute.

This song is incredible and Jonathan has done such a beautiful, beautiful job of re-working this. This version, along with feeling more raw, almost speaks more of the desperation than the original did, simply because the original was such a scream for help that we couldn't hear it at the time. This song being released so soon after Chester's passing shows once again the long reaching commentary of Linkin Park's songs. Kate, thank you so much for putting this song in front of DJ. Sending you so SO much love. I hope you will always know that we are here for you, the Herd as a collective, and all of us as individuals. You are so very loved and we care deeply. Dan Vasc did a stunning tribute to Chester just after his passing. He did 'Numb' and spoke after he had finished singing. It is extremely moving and shows the sort of person Dan is.

Chester's version is the scream for help. This is the exhausted break down after the energy of the cry for help has run out.

It is cathartic.

Thanks for bringing in this song. Because I'm, not really into Metal, I rarely listen to Jonathon Young. But he has an amazing voice (not to mention his talent on a guitar). I would never have heard this if you had not put it up.

I need to see this man react to Jon's version of "What Could Have Been" I feel like that would just absolutely destroy him. And I need to see that

So, Linkin Park was considerably after my musical identity was formed in the early 80s, and I wasn't into their style of music in the 90s. So I was never exposed to it unless I randomly heard it on the radio, and I probably didn't know who it was if I did. So I just heard Chester's version for the first time, after hearing JoYo's tribute. I'm in tears. I'm not sure which version is responsible. Or maybe it's both. Wow. What lyrics. Is there nothing JoYo can't do?
