I think part of it is that the anime characters are moving much faster than this guy. A lot of the spins and flips make sense in the anime because characters are superhumanly quick and agile. This guy is really good but obviously not superhuman. Basically this kind of thing doesn't work unless you're superhuman.

@@isaacschwartz1257 The problem is that it doesn't work at all, because gravity isn't strong enough. No matter how strong or agile you are, in real life you can't fall any faster, so regardless, all these flips etc would have them floating in the air ready to be skewered.

@@robbiejames1540 Good point. That's true for whenever they're in the air. But a lot of these are things where you are still touching the ground in some capacity. Those would be possible with super strength and the superhuman strength would also help you go way faster on the first part of the parabolic arc for the aerial stuff. I think the dodging backwards stuff might work if you could move back far enough fast enough for the enemy to be out of stabbing range by the time you start falling back down.

@@isaacschwartz1257 Yeah, when you're meaningfully in contact with the ground, your own strength becomes more important (though not entirely, as for any lateral motion you're relying upon friction between you and the ground, which depends upon the surface and your weight, which again depends upon gravity. So bits where people essentially "teleport" sideways, often spraying rocks in the other direction, are impossible, *no matter how strong you are* as to get enough purchase for that acceleration you'd need to be heavier, but then you wouldn't accelerate as fast because your heavier.
