Yo Brandon the axe flintlock was actually a real weapon. Back when flintlocks were still in use, as you know they were pretty much all single shot weapons, and cutlasses, swords, axes, they were all still in use as well. So some people decided to combine the two, and quite a few of these hybrids were actually made and achieved some degree of success before more modern weapons took over.

That "contraption" is a Trebuchet, the largest type of siege engine. They're fun to build in all sizes, since you don't need a complicated type of stored energy, all you need is a weight, a lever and a sling. I saw one lobbing a piano... And dead cows.

As muskets only shot once, you would want something to use in the melee after. That's why most muskets were effectively spears (if you has a bayonet affixed) after they were discharged.

Too lazy to see if anyone else mentioned it, but that Axe gun is a genuine piece of naval history. It's a Boarding axe, a flintlock rifle with an axe head bolted around a shortened barrel. The idea being, you get /one/ shot in a boarding action, there's no way you'll have time to load again, so now you have a hand axe instead.

The stock pistol grip from an M249 SAW actually fits perfectly onto the receiver of the FN-FAL and is vastly more comfortable to use than the standard grip.

CoD Vanguard did make the biggest art gallery of cursed guns in the history. A few of my favorite examples: - How to curse iconic M1911? Add extended magazine, flash muzzle, laser and of course a holo. - How to curse classic Thompson? Name it an Assault Rifle, add a drum magazine as a standard for this gun, and if you want to step up, you can turn this gun into Hellriegel. - If you think that M1 Garand can't be cursed: What if you add a tactical grip and a friking drum magazine to it that still does iconic *ping* noise? - MP-40 also can be cursed. You can even make it switch the side of the conflict and turn into PPSh with silencer and double drum mag. - BAR is cursed just like Tommy. An Assault Rifle (according to the game)... The rest you'll know. - STG-44 is the best... Remove stock, extend the barrel, add silencer, add drum mag and don't forget about a holo. I'm sure it works well. - The Hitler's Saw... But didn't saw this coming... MG-42 with Kurz barrel, Tommy grip, belt feed, tactical stock and a marksman scope. No matter how many times I see the cursed Vanguard weapons, I laugh, I cry, I feel pain and I feel anger - all at the same time.

The funny thing about CoD vanguard's fifty cal mosin is that it's still called the "three-line" rifle; which is how Russia described the .30in cartridge. A "line" was 2.54mm, or .10 inch. It's literally calling it a 30-caliber rifle, somehow firing Russian .50.
