Stupid-Expensive Onboard Air Compressor Setup

Airing down and up at the trailhead takes time. I was tired of wasting all that time, so I upgraded my Jeep Gladiator's air compressor setup to cut my time messing with tire pressure in half. Airing down takes less than 10 minutes, and that includes the time to get set up. Airing up my 35" tires from ~15 psi takes maybe 15 minutes, again, including getting the hoses out. It used to take me 20 minutes to air down with a tire deflator and up to 45 minutes to air up with a single ARB compressor.
Also, I don't think any of these products on their own are overpriced. For what each of them does, I have no complaints. But when everything is put together, yea, it's expensive.

i just put an ARB twin in my JK and its been a game changer. i went from 30+ minutes airing up my 33s from ~14psi to ~31psi, to total time of about 7 minutes. 3.5 minutes of airing up, and the rest is dilly dallying around with the Innovative AT Products kit. spending more time on the trail is priceless, and the faster you can get on and off the trail, the better the time you have.

It's cool to see a variety of similar products on the market. I just looked at Innovative AT's version of what I have. I like that you can get a single kit from them that does almost everything my kit does, for nearly half the price. Thanks for sharing a more affordable option. I'm pinning this so others can check it out, too.

@Berserkeroffroad absolutely. I shopped for awhile looking to see what I could find that wasn't going to put me over the top on what I was trying to accomplish, but I knew I didn't want to be under the hood, as the Arkansas heat plus engine heat would likely wear it out faster than I wanted to. they came highly recommended and have everything needed to run your compressor.

The Speedflate is a gamechanger. I'd start with that.

Love this! Time saved doing the air up/down is priceless in my book. It’s always at the start of the trip (when you just want to get out there), or the end of the trip where everyone is tired and hungry. Excellent setup/video. 👍🏻

Thanks! I'd start with the Speedflate if I already had a compressor and had to choose one item.

It played a second and then showed an ad? Sorry, man! The monetization interface even said the video wasn't eligible for mid-roll ads. Thanks for sticking through it. Your time isn't worth the penny I'd make off an ad.
