I don't know about you but one of the things I'm looking forward to the MOST is getting my hair cut and colored! In the mean time, I'm trying to be patient and get creative with my styling😳😬 Today, I'm sharing my latest way to cope with my overgrown pixie. Wonderful technique.... I have been cutting my pixie for about 6 months. I learned how before all salons closed. Whew so glad. Also I have been cutting my husband's hair for about 40 years. So I know my way around the scissors.😀

Beautiful job! Your hair always looks fantastic!!! I finally let my granddaughter take the clippers to my hair....she guaranteed me that since she trims her dog she’d be able to do my hair so I said go for it....desperate times call for desperate measures so away she went buzzing😱......but PTL....she did a great job!! My hubby thought it looked so good he let her clip his hair!! Now him and I along with our grand dog are all clipped up😂😂😂 and Looking good 😂😂😂😂 Have a wonderful weekend my sweet California friend! Sounds like she may have a future in cutting hair!🥰 My husband is lucky because I always cut his hair.....he hasn't had to be without his stylist during this quarantine. Praises to your stylist! A good cut still looks good as it grows out! I know there will be an influx of appointments when all of this clears. If you can’t get an immediate appointment, remember your local vocational school. I’m a cosmetology student and all my clinical hours have been put on hold. While you wait for your salon or barber shop to work you in, you can get great service under the watchful eyes of instructors, have access to high quality hair products, plus give future hair stylist’s some practice at a fraction of the salon price. This might buy you some time (and ease frustrations) until you finally get to see your regular stylist! Sharalee, you would look beautiful even if you shaved your head...just saying! 💕😉

My favorite styling product is the texture powder, especially right after I wash my hair to achieve some texture. I just shake a little in the palm of my hand, rub my hands together the run it through rather than shake it directly onto my hair. It gives me more control over where it goes.

I always enjoy watching you, especially styling your hair! Mine is similar (at least it used to be before covid 19). It’s gotten pretty long now😩.....however, I have about half of the hair that you have, mine is fine and thin but I’ve found that products sure help! The tip from you that I learned today was using hands and fingers while styling rather than a brush. I’m definitely going to get my fingers in next time, thank you again for your tips!

Oh my goodness these hair tips were wonderful!!..And, I wanted to let you know that I tried your tips for applying the IT mascara and it went on soooo much better!!.. i cleaned up the top with a toothpick and when I applied it on my lashes, I was careful not to push to hard, but go lighter...Thanks for the great tips!!!..Hope you are doing well...love your Sunday songs 🎵...take care..❤❤

I love how you make having a pixie cut so easy to style.i had a pixie over a month ago and I couldn’t do anything with it,maybe it wasn’t cut as good as yours,now I’m ending up letting it grow,but I really love your hairstyle but don’t dare ask for a pixie anymore.

Love what you have done, looks good. I have resorted to using the Hairdressing Scissors rather drastically on mine. Have passed on bringing out the Clippers!! Looks good at the front, have refrained from checking the back too closely 😂🤣😂 Stay safe and keeping on smiling💖

You have the perfect face shape for this style, it looks so good on you. I had my husband trim my neckline up tonight because it was driving me crazy. Hoping my salon will be open for the appointment I already had booked for end of May, otherwise he may be trimming my bangs and that could be scary!😲. -Anne

It looks so good!!!! Great tips 😘 we’re supposed to open back up on May 4 and I just happen to have a haircut and color for that day but I’m not entirely sure that’s going to happen. My stylist told me to make another one just in case so I did. Hubs did an awesome job on my undercut but I really need to get in and get an all over thing done lol. Stay well!!

subscribed tonight after looking at your bareminerals swatches posts from 2013 (from a google search). i am grateful at how you are thorough, very organized, very good at teaching, and calm, kind and good vibes. i love this hairstyle, so i had to look at the playlist of tutorials. i think yours looks almost as good unstyled, too, due to the highlights making it look like a style in and of itself. i had a longer pixie, curly, but i had to have it cut even more today. it is shorter than yours (all due to hair damage from doing ACV rinses!!). the cowlicks in my hair are the type, my stylist said, that scalp shows unless they are held in place with product. lol

Oh my, you can still style your hair just stunningly! 🥰 Mine by now looks completely!! different... my hair in the back (neck) has grown to curl up and so are the sides and fronts. The front I’ve cut A LOT so much so that it looked like one of those musicians with the lute from the 14 hundreds 🤣😂😂🤣 - oh well, it’s just hair and it’ll grow back... job well done my friend and big hugs xoxo 😘

Hi Sharalee!! Even your quarantine hair looks great!! You are so pretty!! Well, I finally did it......I trimmed my hair....and I love it! HaHaHa!! I think I did pretty good! My husband told some friends during the quarantine, he will finally see what my natural hair color is! Well.....my natural color is coming through along with some strands of "natural highlights" aka gray hair! HaHaHa!! I am so thankful you all are doing good. Blessings to you both and be safe!

So true!😘 My dog was lucky and was able to get groomed. My husband lucked out because I cut his hair so he's all shaped up. But somehow I'm the odd woman out with WAY overgrown hair😂

Hi from NC👋 as always, you AND your hair look amazing ♥️ thanks for the tips. I can completely relate with the hair in the back. Mine is ALWAYS super short (shaved close). Now I can grab the hair in the back with my fingers!! 😲 And my hair is touching the top of my ears!! I can't stand it!! Can you please share how you trimmed your bangs? (You mentioned it)

Your styling ability is amazing! I LOVE the color! Going to check with my stylist to see if that color will work for me. I purposely went back to this video because I can do the pixie and I like the combo of smooth and spikey that's longer than what you are doing now. Plus haven't figured out why do the under cut - I'm just learning but ready for a change. You are one beautiful and that sure helps a LOT :). Love your tips though. Do you happen have a video with more natural products? I know they don't work quite as well, or haven't found many besides shampoo but I hate using so many chemicals all the time in dye, styling products, and makeup - thoughts?

You do look like you just came from the salon! I actually am liking that your hair is a little bit longer but it is probably driving you crazy! I trimmed my layered bob about 3 weeks ago but my layers are growing out so fast! If I wanted them to, they wouldn't! LOL! BTW, your eye look is stunning! Stay well, my friend! 💕💕🕊💕💐❤️

Soooo pretty! You are so good at styling your hair and creating awesome looks for our overgrown hair. I too can’t wait to get my hair cut. I’m going to try styling mine to other side today and see if it works. I’ve been styling it forever to one side so it may not go. But I’m going to try lol.

Thank you so much!!🥰 It will feel strange the first couple of times, styling your hair to the other side. The first time I did it, I ended up with a sore neck because I felt like I needed to lean my head over to that side to help the hair stay there😂 Hopefully these tips and tricks will help until you are able to get in to the salon!💕

I tried but my hair just won’t do it. Plus it really doesn’t look good parted on other side. I have hair appt on the 15th but it’ll probably get rescheduled again. Ugh!!! How many times has your appt been rescheduled? Pray we can get it next month.

Always love your hair, but I tried the catwalk root boost (I had to buy two cans together on Amazon) and it did absolutely nothing for my pixie cut! I mean it was flat. $33 and the seller won’t take it back! Anything else you can recommend?

Thank you so much! My natural color is about a level 5 ash brown so to give me highlights, my stylist uses a high volume lightener (volume 30-40) to lift my color to about a level 10-11 ash blonde. I know that is a really high volume but if she doesn't do that, I end up with orange highlights and that's not a good look for me😂😘

I was 3 days away from getting color/cut when the stay at home was ordered and my pixie was so grown out. My color is an inch from being completely being gone and the gray is not enough so my color looks horrid. Yesterday I broke down and trimmed over my ears my bangs and neckline. I now have a bob cut. Your hair is way shorter than mine in the back and I thought I had mine cut short. Without color on my roots my hair just lays flat and is too soft, I hate it. Thanks for your video

Oh I can only imagine how ready you are to get back to the salon!! I've had a couple of friends resort to coloring their own at home because they just couldn't take it anymore. Hopefully you'll get an appointment soon and be back to loving your hair again! Hang in there!!💗

I tried Bumble & Bumble and hated it. The smell almost made me sick. The enjoy dry wax does it all. My pixie is beyond help and can hardly wait until salons open up. Your hair always looks nice.

You look polished and beautiful as always.... My hair is in a bob so the extra length isn't bothering me too much, but O my, hair colour is a very different and very sad area. My natural colour is black now with grey through it and my hair is very blonde.... I've had to resort to box dyes.... Here in the UK they are talking of hair salons being closed for 6 months..... In which case I'm resorting to wigs xx

Oh goodness, 6 more months?! I would have your bob style by then....mercy!! I think after all of this, we are going to need to get some training on how to cut our own hair and stock up on hair dye and bleach so we aren't caught unprepared again! @@SharaleesBoxOfChocolates On the scale of what's happening, hair could be considered trivial but and it's a big BUT, our hair is part of who we are, it helps with our confidence, with how we want the world to see us and when our hair looks good, we feel good..... If we feel good, we are nicer to be around for our partners, children etc; I'm not sure how I'll cope if we have to do 6 months without a salon visit...... Stay safe and stay well beautiful lady x
