Nicolas, I found your KZfaq channel sometime before the Covid lockdown and have been watching ever since and enjoying your videos. You have grown so much during these years. And by that I mean that your confidence in your presentation comes very naturally and it translates into the content of your videos. I so much cherish your being your unique and authentic self in everything you do and show us in your life. You show us your vulnerabilities and excitements about everything around you. I am impressed by your evolving style in decorating and furnishing your apartment, just to mention one interesting concept in your videos. I think the problem with the colour is that the natural light is not getting inside the apartment because it's in the basement. Maybe you could find mirrors that reflect the light whatever is out there to catch. The light would look brighter and it would lift up the atmosphere of the dining room. Using led light could also make up the atmosphere. There are different kind of colours to choose if you want more that just white light. It will also be the answer to your moving. You won't leave the apartment after the lights have been changed 😊

The coffee table adds a nice modern touch! The yellow roses are beautiful with the brass accents. Our Fox Glove came back last summer from seed. Such an unexpected and pleasant surprise!

Love the color you are painting on the dining room walls! As you were speaking at the end of video, the color on the walls was a wonderful compliment to the stone outside the window. I especially enjoy dark dining rooms because they are cozy and reflect candle light nicely for an evening dinner party!

I think when your painting with dark colors, your room has to be very big. If it’s not big dark colors, make the room look smaller so make sure your dining room is big. Also, what I love is a white trim. Makes the color pop.

I agree that any new paint color doesn't look right until the entire room has been painted. Can't wait to see it. The boldest I am with walls is a very pale pale beige, though I see others whose rooms look great in bolder colors. That Eton's Mess was a great demonstration. One could replace the "double cream" with Greek yogurt with stevia and then use the rest of the recipe as is. I love a glass table or coffee table. I have both.

Love the coffee table! For sofa comfort, we keep two small soft poufs at the side of our living room and bring them in front of the sofa when we want to relax. You would need to keep the coffee table 24” or so from the sofa and you will be fine.

I've always loved a mixture of classic and modern pieces; my first apartment I had a mix of Renoir prints, squarish sofas and chairs that picked up a colonial blue from the pictures, and a few more modern paintings of flowers. I love your new coffee table! I have a small upholstered stool I drag over to put my feet up on when I watch tv at night. I only need to shift my coffee table over a bit, which isn’t too bad. Quite awhile ago, maybe over a year?, you showed us a really beautiful floral wallpaper, only you said you wished you had more of it! I always thought that would look smashing on at least one wall of your dining room, behing the mirror facing your living room! Thought it would be uplifting and would bring an air of Spring green into your dining room! Did you not have enough for that one wall? Did you feel it would have been overempowering? I thought with your love of earthy greens and browns, the leaf like dishes you have, that it would have made the room look awesome with the light coming in through your window! I loved the coffee table and the way you decorated. I always found decorating coffee tables a challenge in my small house. One thing I have to say when decorating any part of your home, or really anything in life, is Function before Design. I learned this in my first year of college over 60 years ago, and it’s simple and so true. A couple of times I tried rebelling😂 and it never worked. Your home is where you should be comfortable, without having to adjust furniture to watch TV or anything else. You are a clever young man and I’m sure would have come to this conclusion, just saving you some time. Can’t wait to see the completed dining room.
