No doubt you've seen his record breaking 6.43 run over 60m? 5th fastest in history!

He now has the fsstest 60 meter split in history at 6.29 out doors now in his PB 100m of 9.83. Absolutely astounding & astonishing. They said his 40 yard dash in that 6.29 is a 4.07 which is the fastest recorded unofficial yet real 40 yard dash ever, & it's off of a gun. Incredible!

Very nice analysis! Su is the pride that inspires so many young Chinese Track & Field Athletes. He just won the Silver of IAAF World Championships today with a new AR of 6’42. Su is 5’8-173cm tall. He is the same size as Coleman, Bromell and a little shorter than De Grasse and Ronnie Baker. His stride length is decent for his size and leg length: 48.5 strides for 100m, 32 for 60m, which interprets his max stride length of 2.42m. (Coleman finishes 60m with 30.5-31 strides, usually) Su’s turnover rate/frequency is brutal. He achieves to have 4.98 strides/second while still finish 60m within 32 strides, unlike some traditional Asian type of 5+ strides/second but with very short strides, not affiliated with height or leg length (especially some old school Japanese athletes). If Su could keep healthy and the level of his training just like now, he is possible to run a sub-9.9 100m outdoors. His 6’42 with zero-wind aid could possible be translated to 9’82 - 9’90 for 100m dash (3.5 seconds for the last 40m is the entry level of world-class athlete. Bolt once recorded 3’27 for the last 40m in his historical 9’58 WR performance. World-class athletes can usually finish the last 40m within 3’45, with a top speed from 60-70m of 0.84 second/10m). If Su is ever as lucky as the Japanese athlete Kiryu who run a 9.98 with a 1.8m/s legal tailwind, than Su is possible to break sub-9.8 in an ideal dash model.

Actually, Yoshihide's best performance is 9.87s record with 3.3 m/s wind speed, so technically his record should be more than 9.87s without wind. Su also has a 9.92s record with 2.4 m/s wind speed. Interested in seeing an analysis of Kim Collins, the fellow in lane 4. I've noticed several improper block techniques from him. High shin angles, lack of push not emphasizing much on his extensions...yet for a 38 year old he's been a consistent sub 10 guy. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Kudos on the videos, you do a great job!

Adrian Trott I really admire you and this boy. I am now 35, knowing I'm getting too shit in term of physical abilities , only a couple of weeks ago I started doing running and stuff. God, I miss the days when I was young and could do Sprint and long jump. I am only 5.7 and I guess I was too realistic and didn't try hard to achieve my best. Honesty, I wish this boy that you are coaching go a long way. Nothing is worse than when you pass the age for achieving your potential and regret the fact that you failed to try.

Dhdh Lee I used to represent the Birchfield Harriers in Birmingham, England back in my youth in the mid 70s...I know exactly how you feel my friend...I am 58 years young and still try to improve my start...as pathetic as it sounds, i still get a lot of pleasure from trying new techniques.

Adrian Trott Study Loren Seagrave to learn "foot strike". Work on his resistance training, sled driving & sled pulling. Also work on his starts & do a lot of 150s to work on his "top end" speed. You should be able to get him to a 9.8. I'm not kidding either. And lastly, study John Smith's 7 phases of the 100 meters.

BreuckelensFinest white man can't jump. Haha. It's probably true. But the same apply to most of tall Chinese basketballers. And that's one thing I don't really understand. When I was in school, a lot of us, the rather average or short dudes jump a lot higher and farther than the tall ones.

This guy isn't in the top 10 list ..... He win this race and didn't brake 10 sec. So what dose it matter in the non championship races. Let's see how his tech. will fair when it really counts. 10 sec 100m's nothing to sing about. When he brakes 9.80 now that's a different story...( still not in the top 10 though ).

Gerald brown : True.... if we look at it that way.... He's I believe is the fastest asian. To run a 10.00 sec 100m is nothing to look down at. I 've seen what 10.5 looks like up close and to the average person that would be very fast. 10.00 sec and under is a hole different category . 9.80 and under is worth as example . I believe that it is possible for an Asian or any person who are gifted to run 9.70 or faster. most gifted people who might out perform don't even care .
