@@Nitha732 yeah.... I so digg for those moments... That intimacy and intensity pulls us right into their relationship, which is why I still find addicted novel in the top spot of BLs I have read.

@@nitinnegi4986 [SPOILER] . . . . . . . . . . . The remake is very different from the novel. There are many explicit sexual and jealous moments. Violence, abuse and crimes are common. The couple drinks and smokes a lot. Book 1 shows they running away because Wu Bi's father, a very high profile Army officer, doesn't accept their relationship and almost kill his own son. The scenes inside the blue car/tent occur when they are escaping. After failing to capture them and force Wu Bi to the Army to keep them separated, Wu ZhengHao gives up and the couple got finally back. Mo Yi decides to manipulate Su Yu's car break to cause an accident and kill him because he thinks the boy is a threat to the stability and reputation of the Wu family (the remake did a better work with the motivation behind it than the novel). Wu Bi got injured instead just like the remake shows, and then goes into a coma. Mo Yi admits to Su Yu at the hospital that he was the one who planned all of that. Su Yu realizes that his boyfriend's father and cousin hate him, and then decides to leave Wu Bi forever to keep them both safe. Book 2 shows Su Yu pursuing the aviation field of the Army career because then Wu ZhengHao will stop asking his son to do it and his dream of keeping them apart will succeed. That's the last place where Wu Bi would look for him after waking up from coma. When it does happen, Mo Yi tells his cousin that Su Yu died due to the car accident and convinces their families to keep up with the fake story. After 2 years he confesses that Su Yu is still alive. Wu Bi fails to find the location, career or any other information about his ex-boyfriend. He then gives up and becomes a sucessful company owner while Su Yu becomes an airplane combat pilot. 6 years goes by without them knowing about each other until that one special they finally meet again by chance when Su Yu needs to buy one of the Wu Bi's company products to the aviation. They are 26 now. Many things happen, but then they "marry" (not really legal in China yet) at the end of the story. Their parents finally accept their relationship. There is a short spin off to describe how the second couple (his school friends) ended together as well. I don't know what the remake will do to the characters' career on season 2. Will Su Yu become the pilot? We will have to wait and see.

@@nitinnegi4986 I edited my previous comment to correct some English mistakes and to add a few new informations. :) [MORE SPOILERS] . . . . . . . Book 1 and the remake show Wu Bi travelling to help his cousin with some business issues. But the original story reveals that Su Yu feels alone and then accepts a Mao Chong's invitation to sleep at his home. Mao Chong then starts feeling something else about his friend and admits it to Han Bo Kuang. Nothing special happens. Book 2 comes up with the 8 years of them all apart. Mao Chong is now a sucessful actor while Han Bo Kuang is a clumsy policeman. They meet again when the police is called to make the protection around an event which will have Mao Chong as one of the main guets. Nothing special happens as well, but it is implicit that the two will have something in the future. Spin off begins with Mao Chong hiring two people to create a fake scene which will end with Han Bo Kuang being fired from police. He then hires his secret interest to be his private 24/7 bodyguard and assistant. They start living together. One day they kiss by mistake. Other day HBK discovers about the MC's previous plan, gets furious and moves to Su Yu's house while Wu Bi is travelling. He comes back, finds out that HBK has been sleeping there with his husband, punches him in his private area and asks MC to take him back to his house. They call a doctor because the boy is in pain. MC then starts manipulating his medicine with something to prevent HBK from having erections. He believes that the agression caused by Wu Bi made his incapable of having sex. That's actually a MC's plan to start "helping" HBK to recover his sexual desire. It does work, because the boy thinks MC is the only one who can make him have an erection, until one day when MC stops drugging his victim but keeps going on. Spin off ends like that. The most explicit spoiler ever made, hahaha. The entire novel is very toxic. Stay With Me is soft and cute, not much reliable to the original story. I don't know whether the season 2 is going to show the second couple's interactions or not. There will be a Thai remake of Addicted as well. This is going to be the 3rd webserie about the novel. Some actors were already announced.

This is a bromance remake. The original drama “Addicted: Heroin” was bl but it got banned part way through. There’s also the original novel which is bl (but tbh I don’t recommend it)

As one female Asian and living in reality in Asian countries for decades, that’s not female Asian thing. It’s more like selfish and petty self individual that has nothing to do with ethnicity and gender. If another party never refused her but kept leading her on, it’s another story but he hasn’t.
