Are you only using Sauvecito? I'm a blonde/ginger with straight hair. I've been combing a pomp for about 15 years now, and am always looking for better methods. What do you use to get your hair to be stiff like that? Do you use a base? I've been using American Crew Fibre (yeah yeah, whatever it works) as a base to get height and such...and sauvecito to make it smooth, etc. But I find it tends to "compress" about a hour after I comb. Any tips?

I have about 1 inch of hair so far, every other day I try not to put shampoo on my hair (because my hair is the frizzy/dry type and so I could have straighter and softer hair), and I wear a cap with my hair slicking back so my hair grows out that way. @jmizzle4 when u do the regular pomp,high and tight,the hair is longer in the front and gets shorter as u go back.if you are going to make it high and tight,the hair on the sides is also a little longer than on the top of the head because it has to comb somewhat up towards the top as it goes back because u dont wont it to be poofy on the sides.sorry thats confusing.the best i could suggest is not to go to a mainstream hair cutter but find an old timer type barber shop,they're more familar
