Onew is on a league of his own as a vocalist. That's not an opinion, that's a fact. My dude is insanely talented. But... There's no such thing as song meant for x number of ppl. Sure someone might compose thinking of a group, but that has more to do with what will fit that group's concept and members' vocal ability, but that won't be a hindrance if a single person wants to cover it. Any song can be divided and/or rearranged, you can change key and etc. That's how kpop groups will cover songs sang by soloists, or cover songs sang by groups that have more or less members than their group.

@@helenasouza9196 this comment is absolutely right, what's astounding about his performance isn't really that more people sang the original. i would add though that something worth praising is that he took on different parts that would be hard to switch between naturally, maybe that's why it's important to mention that 5 voices sang it, because his switches were so natural. normally it's almost impossible for a few people to cover an entire group song without changing it up a bit similar to how nmixx changed parts to flow better, because of overlaps and no rest for breaths, but he did it almost effortlessly and that's so amazing to me

@@noahfan2719 It's just that the words sound the same! The word for yellowtail amberjack (bangeo), a type of fish, sounds the same as the word for a defense (bangeo). He talks about his birthday (which is December 14) because bangeo (the fish version) is known to be tastier and commonly eaten in the winter. I'm guessing Lily didn't understand because she grew up in Australia - she might have never heard about the fish. Basically... it's a really lame dad joke. 😭 Exactly the kind he loves making.

Funny you say that when in the same video you have 2 girls of a group that is famous because they sing live and sing very well, as you clearly saw. You love Shinee, so do I, but why flat out lie to make them look even better? Aren't they great enough for you? Stan talent, stan Shinee, stan Nmixx.

@@pignonMZ6 Hi, Don't get me wrong. I'm referring to male groups but there are also several singers who are excellent, except that Shinee sings and dances much better than others, just like Red Velvet and others ofc. Shinee for me is another level🔝

@@bubblegumee2well do yourself a favour and go watch any Nmixx stage practice, you will see a Shinee level performance, no joke, they’re that good. I’m not big on ranking my favs, I think it’s a silly exercise, but I can tell you that in terms of abilities those girls are really something else.

I came for Onew, but I am not so biased that I will ignore talent where it's deserved. Their cover is excellent and as SHINee and Onew's fan I am truly happy that they cover it so good like that, it feels like my idol is being honored❤ thank you so much for amazing cover, they are sure talented 👍 what they performed here already speaks volume about their potential. I learned about new girl group from 4th gen (correct me if I'm wrong please) that are so talented through this program. They save 4th gen quality.
