Bruh, Subaru must look like an absolute gigachad to the outside observer; Man shows up and gets absolutely humiliated at the Royal Selection, and then, inside a week, turns himself around, brokers an alliance between three of the RS camps, is instrumental in the subjugation of the White Whale, and masterminds a strategy to beat the Sin Archbishop of Sloth without a single casualty. Not to mention that, within a month, he'd get the actual Knighthood he deserves.

Also 15:45, “Subaru Disobeying” leads to the complete destruction of his magic gate. Him using shamak here permanently severs his connection to his magic gate. This severing is what leaves room for him to manifest The Unseen Hand, which he then uses to uppercut Garf. Didn’t see any comments on this, so hopefully someone finds this interesting.

nah guys just read the webnovel... its way more intense... After Arc 4 stuff starts building to massive stuff in arc 6 and then I wont even say anything about arc 7.... But my god I dont think they can fit two arcs per season unless season 3 is 3 times as long cause arc 6 could be its own season... I mean adding what ifs to it could be interesting... some are short and some are a few episodes... I'm still eager for Arc 6 Animated.... but it feels like it needs a whole season to itself... Its usually ongoing so its odd how the anime seems every few years theres 2 arcs crammed to a season... I mean I cant imagine how to even animate all that psychologically goes on in arcs like arc 6... I bet it'll be difficult to make Arc 5 feel close to how its written in some scenes cause of how its episodic and bad stuff only gets undone by subaru dying but man stuff goes NEXT LEVEL for Arc 6.... Then again I suppose I could say Arc 7 is Close to that but Very Different outta Nowhere after one of the biggest endeavours... Anyone current knows what I mean I'm sure... I wanna see it all animated but a lot of it cant be you know? Its hard to convey some of the complex stuff going on psychologically that often makes his psyche seem constantly evolving from basically a Fool archetype in Arc One and off the deep end too many times... Maybe I am thinking the Text is better but the anime is good if you've read it and know a lot of the details and are paying attention to each peice of detail as he goes through all the death loops... Its more of a headtrip to get lost in while people ruin our real world hehehe I wont skip an episode of it though because I love seeing stuff I only vaguely rememebr details from getting animated and acted out and so on... Still thinking Petrache is Top Girl combat wise for ALL the clutch saves whether written over or Not you know? Now I have to stop to not say spoilers on stuff ........ heh But in summary I am Nervous about what they try to fit into Season 3 cause I will be kinda weirded out if they Try to Fit the Longest arc into even 2/3 of the Season... I guess they Could Speed Run Priestella but Arc 6 doesnt even fit if they finish the Desert and blah blah "Master" stuff for Midseason cause.... well I guess if they Dont Go in Depth on all the super Crazy stuff thats probably not safe for daytime slots in Japan if they have it hit the way the webnovel does when you're Sveral Loops through A LOT of changes in the Protagonists Perception 2/3 through the Arc Basically hahaha It's THAT Nuts. I mean maybe if they made it 3 times as long of a season then both arcs would fit if both have Huge portions Rushed and Text on Psychology and Philosophy Ignored so that he JUST Sounds like a Crazy Person like how I suppose Subaru Several Loops In Sounds to people he was Having a Decent Day with otherwise hahaha.... Man Death is NEVER Good for one's mood... and other stuff... Do we still have No Knowledge of Season 3 besides some saying some animators have worked on it but nothing is official yet? I guess that'd make sense if you work on these shows and have time alone and wanna keep skills up etc. But I do admit the Webnovels WOULDNT Be as Effective without the Anime probably... but it makes Later stuff seem almost Beyond Animation....

if im not mistaken, the reason subaru knows about that secret door he uses to finally save beatrice isnt part of the true timeline since the one time he encounters the door prior to this moment was right before being frozen to death by puck in a "doomed" timeline. so in theory he shouldnt have known about that door at all its not a super important detail but something I felt is in the spirit of the video.

4:02 from what I know, subaru is immune to the main effects of the archbishop's authorities (e.g. he can see the unseen hands and remember people who were deleted by the gluttony authority). if I were to guess why this is, I'd say that since subaru isn't from this world, some rules don't apply to him (though this contradicts him having mana and a gate, and it would also mean al would have the same capabilities). another hypothesis would be that (assuming archbishops aren't affected by other authorities, since petelgeuse can probably see his unseen hands and it would be pretty pathetic if lye forgot the people he ate lol) return by death is an authority in itself (which is possible, since it's probably not magic and curses require physical contact), it would mean subaru could be considered an archbishop and be immune to other authorities. this is really far fetched though. (now that I think about this better, it's completely possible that rbd is just magic, given that satella was a yin magic user and since beako can manipulate space, it's plausible the strongest yin spells could manipulate time as well. but if that's the case, how tf is satella casting spells if she's dead?) it's also weird to me that subaru *isn't* immune to the witches' authorities in echidna's dream, since typhon could shatter him, minerva could heal him, carmilla had her appearance altered and I'm pretty sure sekhmet's unseen hands were never drawn. maybe that has something to do with subaru being able to tell echidna about rbd? anyway, I'm done baselessly speculating. keep up the quality content :)

I always thought of his immunity to witch authorities being because they technically belong to the witch of envy, and his connection to her gets stronger each time he dies, which is why at first he can't see the unseen hands and then in later loops he can. When the other witches use authorities, I think the authority actually belongs to them so his connection with the witch of envy doesn't help in this case

In arc 5 we directly see that he's not immune to every authority, so I'm not sure that's actually the case. Also, Satella is not dead. She literally cannot die, as she's immortal. She is simply sealed away at a location you'll probably find out about later on

Now if you think about that short time when Emilia got her name eaten, Ram's opinion on ChadBaru is that he randomly arrived at the Mansion, Saved the entire village by himself with a little help from Roswall, killed guese solo, freed them from the sanctuary somehow, and killed the rabbit and now are fighting in the Pleides watchtower that no one has entered for the last 400 years just b/c he knows of her forgotten sister. In rams mind Subaru did all this b/c of rem.

I love Otto's relationship with Subaru. When Subaru acts buddy buddy with Otto during what, for Otto, is their first meeting, it's not just someone gregarious taking notice of someone shy. Subaru *knows* Otto and that resonates. That makes a mark on Otto, but Subaru also discounts Otto until Otto works up the will to make himself seen. It's these moments of awakening that make strong bonds and the peculiar-fantastical-completely sensible way theirs come about is remarkable.

Really nice watched the first and second episode of this back to back, I actually stareted thinking about jsut htis the second time I watched the serise just finnishing it a few weeks agoo. And just realized that people really must be seeing him as a genius and unable to make a wrong move. Really puts his power in to perspective about it's usefullness, also something that I have been wondering about whenb it comes to the seriese, why has he not jsut said "sometimes I jsut get these flashes about the future I can't really explain it but I know what is going to happen if we do things this way" On the part of things that oculd be removed from this kind of video would be things like his meeting with the witches, since he is the only one that could know about it. Other than that I think it's really nicely done, and summarizes the story from the perspective of the others really nicely. Great work, looking forward to seeing Season 3 recap after I've seen it myself.

It's not like not talking about Return by Death is a rule that he can somehow bypass. The Witch of Envy hears the things he says and will be like "Well that's a big no-no, gonna punish you for that." That's why in Season 1 (in a failed Arc 3 loop) when he told Emilia that he can Return by Death, Emilia was the one to die instead of him. The Witch knew it would hurt him more to see Emilia die.

Something people forget about the white whale incodent is that subaru was an impressive figure during the fight. He stayed on the frontline the whole time organising the battle. And when the whale fled to the skies, he gave a plan to destroy the whale on the spot, then ordered his maid (who is a beast herself) to launch an impressively large ice spear at the thing only for it to only scratch the beast-why is it falling? And as it geows closer, they start to see the black dot that is the madman who rode an ice spike into the sky, so he could land on and taunt the beast, freefalling with the end of his existence in a nosedive to get him. This man would be seen as an absolute legend

Fun watch, glad it's back up!. Also Reminded me just how much of a nerd I am as I watch it and compare it with my own timeline. Edit: In terms of missed or screwed up, nothing major, maybe just otto and ram's meeting shown in a flashback the same night that Subaru is drawing on the walls, overall matches my anime timeline (TLDR, light novel shuffles some events around within some of the loops, the true timeline is the same for both) exactly. The only thing I would add is the time the snow falls is not consistent whatsoever, even when Roswaal states, "its in 3 days" it falls about a day and a half later.

Thanks for the reupload! Without this I would have never seen it. Nice summary. I found it interesting as how he died much less overall(compared to S1). Honestly I´ve expected a reset or two, after their bet(yeah I realize he would loose the bet and get the contract thigie, I found out later on), but suddenly we are at the banquet and he is a knight deathless! I suppose that whole "If I die what if that timeline still exists" experience did prove usefull.

I love the title "The Self Proclaimed Knight" so much. At first, the title is a mockery to Subaru's naiveness that he showed on the court, but as time goes on it just becomes something more real, it was him showing the world that he could accomplish the greatest of feats even if no one had a reason to believed him, and the moment he got Knighted was an absolute peak for me for that reason

@@CrisWVA I don't think this was explained in the anime, but Subaru is not fine here at all. He's actively fighting through pain and nauseousness to talk with Emilia. Subaru is super brief in the novels, but he says a few times it's a pain in the ass to stay there and he's trying not to throw up.

I think Greed didn't really care what she had to say about him and forgot about it right after, but Gluttony became obsessed. He stole Rem's memories and just HAD to meet the hero known as Natsuki Subaru.

Woah woah hold up, something doesn't add up... (Spoilers below, be warned) History says Satella devoured all 6 witches, and we saw her absorbing people into her shadows in one of the failed loops. Therefor we can assume this is how she "devoured half the world" as so many accounts state from 400 years ago. When Emilia frees the sanctuary, she finds Echinda's body in the temple. If Satella killed Echinda... how is her body there in the first place? There is a disconnect. Not only that, but when you dig deeper into the mystery, you learn the other witches all died under different circumstances, NOT involving Satella. Sekhmet battled the dragon, pushing it over the great waterfall, but failed to kill him resulting in her death. Typhon was drowned in the water city Priestella. Carmilla was burned alive in a great fire. Daphne died from starvation in a desert. Minerva is the only one who died by the witch of envy. Echinda says she was killed by the witch of envy, yet Roswaal implies it was the dragon Volcanica who killed her or sealed her. What made Satella resort to "devouring the 6 witches"? Was she trying to take their witch factors... or...? We know she doesn't have the other witch factors because all the archbishops have them now. Pandora can somehow rewrite reality using her own authority, and she's been around for over 100 years. We see her in Emilia's trial, and (spoilers) we see her again when Theresia is killed by the white whale about 14 years ago. What if Pandora was around 400 years ago during the age of the other witches? My bet is Pandora is most likely the real enemy, and the one responsible for all the calamities that took place 400 years ago. She used her authority to manipulate Satella into going on a rampage, and used her authority in some way to shift the blame all onto her. Long ass comment, but yeah that's something that's been on my mind.

I agree and I think think she is trying to recreate Flugal/Satella from subaru and Emilia. By then end of the story total destruction will have followed Subaru and Emilia everywhere they go. In reality they are saving everyone but Pandora will make it look like Emilia is the new Witch of Envy. She even calls herself a Witch.

The one other one was in the sanctuary where he says to Garfield I will throw them as a decoy and when starts thinking going that disturbs me because I think you’ve done it, why would I have done it he only through REM at Rom, to try to get it on Rams horn but if she isn’t there why would you throw her. Who killed all those dogs because Rent can’t because if it was possible they would’ve not needed to do the call of the witch to find ROM so I would love to see this is what happened in a side what if explaining how Subo survived not been eaten that night (I’m really bad at explaining this and I probably get what’s the current say I’ve done it badly)
