Modified version of the Bell 412 EPI; 150 on order to meet the JGSDF's requirement for a UH-1J replacement. (JGSDF) Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. The SUBARU BELL 412EPX is the next generation utility helicopter that further improves reliability and durability of the Bell 412 series currently active in various fields. Croatian government just ordered two of those to be used for MEDEV and SAR missions. They will be operated by national Police Air Unit. Croatia will be first EU operator. Croatian Police chose Bell since they are using Bells for decades and they are very satisfied with them.

GREAT, ED ! Excellent footage of an equally excellent-looking machine. The "hover-taxiing" is the Grand Finale, now that we have the takeoff along with the previous landing and close-up. Thanks & Cheers, Friend!

形は古いけれど、音が新しい違和感。値段も大きさも使い勝手も丁度いいのでしょう。 C-130とかKC‐135みたいに、基本設計が優秀な機体は改良を重ねて長期間使い続けるのは良いことです。特に航空機輸出が情けない日本にとっては良い事例だと思います。

It's actually nearly impossible for me to identify helicopter models. I know next to nothing about helicopters and I barely even know any names of different helicopter types (aside the CH-47 Chinook tandem rotor chopper). Also, helicopters don't vary as much in size as planes do, not even close to as much!

All the different civilian Bell412 models (there are about 6 or 7 of them) look very similar from the outside. Internally there are a few differences (avionics, engines, fuel system).
