What is the fuel economy of a Subaru Crosstrek? How many miles per gallon does a Crosstrek Sport get on the highway? Does a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek actually get its EPA MPG? Shit i got a 2024 crosstrek and i only get around 23 mpg but i mostly drive more city miles than highway

Winds often pick up when there is rain and I have found they impact the fuel economy a great deal in my 2.5i Subaru. It looks like something impacted your return trip more than usual.

Was getting 36mpg stock tires on my 2.5l. After a few months with a Thule rack mpg went down to 25mpg. I’ll now be garaging the rack.

I have a '21 Limited & loaded to the gills. Had a complete undercoating & rustproofing done. Did a 600 mile round trip and averaged 75 - 80 mph for 75% of the trip. I was at 33.4 for the entire trip. I did run Premium gas.

I have a 2021 limited. The best mpg I got was 41 mpg on the highway. I filled it up with 93 octane and drove the speed limit for the 120 miles. Everyone passed me and I was easy on the throttle.

93 octane has no benefit on a car that is not tuned for it. You just had better traffic, less wind, drove smoother. Something else caused you to get better mileage, it was not because you used premium

The EPA test does not have the vehicle travel at 70 mph for the full test, the speeds are lower in the test, so for your test to be at 70 mph the whole way means the Crosstrek did quite well.

Crosstrek is the best selling vehicle in my area, People love the fuel economy and height with the extra ground clearance

Come to Toronto Canada Mini is the top seller here by a longshot. Cause they are better on fuel and since 2016 their in top 10 most reliable. I can confirm i average 41 mpg last fillup.

Gas mileage is pretty good for a non-hybrid with awd. Better though is the large 16.6 gallon capacity fuel tank which means more miles between gas station visits.

I am considering the crosstrek for mileage but from everything Ive seen I wouldn’t be sacrificing much mileage at all if i just went for the bigger more comfortable outback XT from what i have gathered through forums and videos a lot of people are averaging 30mpg on the outback XT

i only get 20 mpgs at most during the alaskan winter. have only driven 4000 miles, and i’m filling it up almost every week

I'll bet very cold weather and icy roads both hurt mpg quite a bit, maybe it will do better in the summer.

i have a 2017 crosstrek and idk what’s going on with it but it’s horrible on gas i will fill it up and drive down the street and 20 miles will go down it’s insane

Headlights seem to do a pretty good job on low beams, along with the standard fog lights on...not bad.

That's better fuel economy than a loaner Mazda CX-30 I just got from the dealership when I took in my 2014 Mazda3. Its computer is showing 25 MPG. I'm ready for a new crossover and that MPG is a deal breaker considering that it has to be my daily 54 mile roundtrip commute. Just curious if you got this MPG with the auto start stop disabled.

This was a pure highway drive, so I didn't have the auto start/stop disabled but it wouldn't have made much of a difference if I had

I dont get over 25mpg, only highway. No idea why, other than possibly the engine has too low of miles on it. 2023 limited with the 2.5L.

In my area, the highway speeds are basically 55mph. Can't any car reviewer test these cars at 55mph? You're getting crappier mileage because you're all driving way over 60 mph. Any mechanic will tell you any speeds past 60-65mph just burns excess gasoline for more speed. To really maximize your result, you should be testing these cars at 55-60mph always.

Sounds like you need to start a KZfaq channel and start testing cars yourself. In my area, even late at night when I do these tests, if I try to do a sustained 55 on the freeway I'll either get run over by a big rig or shot.

Bro don't trust computers to give you a real fuel consumption read out. Calculate manually and you'll get a much more accurate answer. I own mini and average 36 to 43 mpg on highway. My last fillup was 41.4 mpg

So the rogue that's bigger and has over 200hp and and 225 tq is getting railed compared to the hrv which got worse gas mileage? Lol. Still think the math was wrong on that. Redo!!!

That is a nice car....we considered one, but too small for 2 adults with luggage. Our 2020 OB Onyx Turbo gets anywhere from 26-30 average mpg, depending on season, tires, and speed averages. By the way, if anyone is interested, I have a story of oil sampling, and results. Thanks.

Theres 2 of us & 2 German Boxers that together weight 165 lbs. We also haul luggage, not sure where your getting "to small" for just 2 folks. 🤷‍♂️

@@danielfair4675 I was referring to interior carrying capacity, Daniel. We came from 2 past Sienna's, bought the OB for it's ground clearance, since we go off-road, sometimes. Discovered "Original Transcon RR" ROW's, so needed that capability. thanks.
