Das der Kreuzschliff so undefiniert ist liegt ja an dem der es macht. Wenn man soviel Drehzahl gibt wie im Video und dann seine Arme kaum bewegt, was soll da auch rauskommen.🤷‍♂️

Getting a "plateu" finnish with a ball hone. The special tool measures the finished surface smoothness, there is a name for it, just cant recall. We used this in the machine shop, customer specs out the finnish we machine to this spec. Mention "plateu" finnish to your engine builder and see what he says, sad to say many shops here in U.S. are not schooled in this, they will tell you the rings do the same thing during ring seating. Harley-Davidson says bore .003 undersize and ridgid hone to finnish size, follow with ball hone for plateu finnish. Very smart young man here, his dad must be proud.

In gun smithing we lap barrels to a mirror finish so the groove diameter, chamber to muzzle, is as close to uniform as possible, reducing gas blow by. Chamber pressures run 35k-60k psi in various cartridges, so significant irregularities will result in sufficient blow by to reduce power and accuracy. Interesting how similar this is.

Its an electric surface gauge, basic Machining stuff, but interesting effect on the piston with a better finish

Alan D The difference is that English is the universal language of the world in business. If he wants to generate as many views as possible and increase his KZfaq revenue stream, he would benefit from English subs.

You can go into settings (the gear icon), and select "translate". It's not a very good translation but you can kinda follow along.

Servus, hab für den Akkuschrauber einen Aufsatz mit drei normalen Steinen. Hab damit meinen Motorradzyl durchgehont. Kreuzschliff war nur noch leicht vorhanden und mit meiner Honerei hab ich die Laufbahn nur "sauber" gemacht, da eine Nikasil-Schicht drauf ist. War dann zum Schluss matt. Ist das jetzt suboptimal, da der Kreuzschliff nicht mehr/ nur noch gering da ist, oder funktioniert das auch?

Hey guys, it's about honing the cylinders. To roughness, surface and this toilet brush is useless. What is needed, are groves to keep the lubrication for the piston. Watch, learn and have fun.

Your crosshatch is determined by the ridgid hones feed and speed workin for a 60 degree crosshatch. The crosshatch is what retains the oil film on the cylinder wall

Ok es gibt ja diese Klobürste die Ihr benutzt habt und diese 3 Stangen wie beim Hohnaufsatz der Standhonmaschine. Wie ist es da? So habe ich nämlich meinen Honda B16 gehont. Hatte 0 Ölverbrauch und lief wie die Post der Motor :-) 45.000km bis ich ihn verkauft habe und der Motor läuft glaub ich immer noch in einem Honda Civic EJ9

Frag doch einfach mal bei der Firma Gehring in Naumburg an der Saale an. Der alte Herr Gehring hat 1937 das Hohnen mit Diamantschleifen erfunden. Die Firma ist Marktführer und bietet auch Weiterbildungen an.

@@SubiPerformance du hast nach den Steinen aber auch schon Bürsten verwendet gehabt in der Honmaschine, oder? In wie weit ändert sich durch die Honbürsten die Rauheit und der Traganteil, kannst du das in Prozenten beschreiben?

Top Video. Irgendwie verständlich das wenn man tausende von Euro in einen Rennmotor steckt man den dann auch richtig Hohnen lässt, das bisschen kohle macht es dann auch nicht mehr. Ich habe außerdem mal gelernt das die Bürste nur zum Reinigen ist und langsam mit vorsichtigen Auf und ab bewegungen verwendet wird. Sonst gib es Hohnsteine die Natürlich auch vorsichtig verwendet werden. Das ist aber auch alles nur für Teil revisionen oder bei kostengünstigen instandsetzungen von Standard Motoren gedacht.

Und es gibt auch welche mit Körnung 320. Außerdem war die Drehzahl zu hoch.... Mehr Rauheit mehr Öl.... Scheißt sich der höhere Traganteil weg, meine ich.

Frank Löwentraut 320 ist zum Zylinder honen nicht geeignet. Zu fein.

That tool checks the quality of the hone, is that it?

It checks cut depth, width, and averages the information. So-yes.

I think it is a surface-roughness tester, but I lack real knowledge on the subject of metrology and of this particular instrument and it’s application.

Почти ни чего не понял на немецком, но смысл видео и так понятен. Если не трудно расскажи более подробно, какой припуск после расточки ты оставляешь под хонингование и кранцевание и пожалуйста все это хотя бы на английском языке. Чувствую пора учить немецкий.

Ball hones are not for material removal, they are a finnishing tool, bore, ridgid hone, then ball hone for a plateu finnish

Schau auf die geniale Zeichnung. Die Verhältnissmäßigkeit der Tragfläche (Berge) und Taschen (Täler) gibt Auskunft über den Reibe und Ölanteil. Aufgabe des Honens ist die Schmierung zu sichern. Bei zu wenig Öl reißt der Schmierfilm ab, dann ist die Tragfläche zu groß. Ist die Tragfläche zu klein kommt es schneller zum Verschließ. Viel Erfahrung macht erst den guten Schllff.

Für Motorroller oder Rasenmäher scheint das doch eine gute Lösung zu sein um Katastrophen zu vermeiden aber natürlich nichts für Autos oder gar Sportwagen.

Hallo Andi, tolles Video. Was mich noch interessiert hätte, wäre zum einen der Traganteil von einem von dir nur mit Honstein gehonten Zylinder im Vergleich zu einem bei dem Du noch zum Abschluss mit deiner Bürste kurz durch bürstest.

Kommt aus Amerika. Dient eigentlich nur zum säubern der Zylinderlaufbahn. Gibts in verschiedenen Körnungen. Ein genau definierter Hohnwinkel ist natürlich nicht erzielbar. Zur Reinigung gelaufener Zylinder okay. Ist somit nur ein Spielzeug. Maßhaltig ist halt was anderes.

Yes, Original Hone good for stock engine, My hone good for performance engines , flex hone good for the Toilet :)

@@SubiPerformance Oh okay, but that way of honing is pretty crappy though. Can you tell me what was the actual results? Also how does that differ if you use the machine to hone vs. the manual way.

@@SubiPerformance why didn't you go through any time or effort to properly use that Flex-Hone? when correctly applied, the Flex-Hone leaves a surface, as good as, the stock hone. also that's Way too high rpm to use the Flex-Hone at. could you revisit this topic to do a proper side-by-side comparison of Your hone surface and the Flex-Hone cylinder surface?
