It's insane that the VA makes it very difficult to navigate their website and find stuff. I can only imagine what it's like for older people trying to figure this all out. Thank you very much for making this video. You're amazing!

It’s even easier now. If you have an existing claim it will auto fill the form. Then you make certain selections and the form is completed on-line, no uploading.

Thanks for this. Just received a SSOC and the letter didn't even mention I can upload the Higher level review form document into the system.

Maybe I don’t understand the game here but I filed a supplemental claim for hearing/tinnitus and gerd via quick submit back on February 14 this year and after not hearing or seeing any news I contacted VA and they said that fax or mail was the only way to file an appeal of a denied claim,that what I sent was received incomplete so now I have to mail or let a VSO fax it in . I do NOT recommend the quick submit way of filing until they get their collective heads out of their asses and get the bugs worked out . Should be called quit submit!

Hi. Are we to only upload evidence to the "new" Direct Upload OR to the VA website (the site you access prior to DU)? I'll probably just do both to be safe.

Can I still use this for additional items to load for my supplemental claim?

Are you allowed to sign the VA 20-0995 form electronically, or do you have to put a wet signature as stated on the form?

So any of these forms we file on line are supposed to be signed in ink and not typed even though it lets you type your name in red?

Hi. Thanks for this video. I tried to do this but it looks like things have changed. The button we're supposed to use after selecting "I am a veteran" is no longer there. I tred Quick Submit but get an error message. Is it still possible to submit supplemental claims online?

Hey Laura, thank you for the information. Are you aware or experienced this process working for claims all the way to a decision? Also, the form 20-0995 states under Part III, item 14 that “If you have records in your possession, please attach the records to this form”. Do I need to upload one huge file, or will individual files for the new/relevant evidence be sufficient to upload (like you show in the video)? Thank you again!

On my Access VA page it shows me with an Identity Assurance Level 2. Authenticator Assurance Level 2. Your is 3 and 3. Is this why I am having issues?

When I log into ACCESSVA all I see in the Centralized Mail Portal are the words, "WE'RE SORRY....Invalid username or password."

Wouldnt the issue with using this method be the signature on the paperwork? I thought the VA required ink signature (not esign)

When filing a Supplemental Claim - Would it be a good idea in my Sworn Declaration letter to put the following. 38 C.F.R. § 4.7 states "Where there is a question as to which of two evaluations shall be applied, the higher evaluation will be assigned if the disability picture more nearly approximates the criteria required for that rating. Otherwise, the lower rating will be assigned." Benefit of the doubt should be given to the veteran and rated as severe which is 100% §4.3 Resolution of reasonable doubt. It is the defined and consistently applied policy of the Department of Veterans Affairs to administer the law under a broad interpretation, consistent, however, with the facts shown in every case. When after careful consideration of all procurable and assembled data, a reasonable doubt arises regarding the degree of disability such doubt will be resolved in favor of the claimant. See §3.102 of this chapter.[40 F R 42535, Sept. 15, 1975] § 3.102 Reasonable doubt. It is the defined and consistently applied policy of the Department of Veterans Affairs to administer the law under a broad interpretation, consistent, however, with the facts shown in every case. When, after careful consideration of all procurable and assembled data, a reasonable doubt arises regarding service origin, the degree of disability, or any other point, such doubt will be resolved in favor of the claimant. By reasonable doubt is meant one which exists because of an approximate balance of positive and negative evidence which does not satisfactorily prove or disprove the claim. It is a substantial doubt and one within the range of probability as distinguished from pure speculation or remote possibility. It is not a means of reconciling actual conflict or a contradiction in the evidence. Mere suspicion or doubt as to the truth of any statements submitted, as distinguished from impeachment or contradiction by evidence or known facts, is not justifiable basis for denying the application of the reasonable doubt doctrine if the entire, complete record otherwise warrants invoking this doctrine. The reasonable doubt doctrine is also applicable even in the absence of official records, particularly if the basic incident allegedly arose under combat, or similarly strenuous conditions, and is consistent with the probable results of such known hardships.

Do you know how long does it take to show up on the VA website? I submitted my supplemental claim roughly 72 hours ago and it still doesn’t show in the system. When I called I was told I had to either fax or mail in the supplemental claim form.

I think you should update your video. There were MANY additional steps i had to undergo before getting to the link to submit any forms. Your video skips a whole process. This process has changed. "Access Va" is no-longer active with this upload. There is a newer link as of June 2022. Lucky for me, the new link is on the old page. Again, please update this video because most veterans will have a difficult time uploading to the VA using this older process. Thank You. "Just a friendly suggestion.
