Only those who receive God through Jesus’ words shall be saved: In John 12:44, Jesus cried out and said “He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me;” again, in Mark 9:37, Jesus says “...whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.” Jesus is speaking in parables, and the only way to grasp God's truth is through his Holy Spirit (John 14:16). Here Jesus is saying that only those who truly hear his voice will understand that he leads everyone to the Father and not himself (John 12:49-50). They will know to listen to God's will only, for Jesus told the world that he has not spoken of himself, but what the Father has taught him (John 8:28). With their carnal minds, man lead themselves to think Jesus is God, but only those who truly _hear_ Jesus are led to God (Romans 8:6-8). For many are called, but _few_ are chosen (Matthew 22:14). Repent; Jesus is not his Father.
