I love how you mentioned not taking advantage of your husband in a traditional relationship. The issue ive been seeing is women desiring traditionally masculine men (provider, handy, strong, leader, etc) but they dont want to do the work of taking on a traditionally feminine role (and vise versa where the man wants a traditional wife but doesnt fulfill his role). The woman wants him to give her the world while she sits on her butt or does the bare minimum. No sis, if you want the traditional wife role you have to play yours too every day and it takes more work than the girls think. I must admit, submission is challenging, especially within different cultures who are forced to be the strong independent (usually Black) woman and in this independent woman society. It definitely takes practice and trust to allow yourself to submit as a woman. Not saying that there's anything wrong with being an independent woman at all. Women should be independent, especially when single or not in a traditional gender role (masculine husband with feminine wife) relationship. I believe all women should work towards having their own income, develop some skills that can earn income, get educated, build their resume, etc ( I did). Women should always have something to fall back on just in case we change our mind or it doesnt work out. But, realize there's a cost of independence to the traditional life on her end, and the extra responsibilities of bringing in more income and ensuring the more masculine chores are taken care (whether he does them himself or brings in income to pay someone to). Im rambling lol. But i love your vibes and beautiful house!
