That room in the back with the laundry and the bench and "lockers" is called a mud room. They're pretty common in the states! We use them to store coats and shoes and bags, etc.

huhu :) I think the upstairs corridor is meant to be in a loft-style, looking down to the dining area, that's why it seems a bit weird just having a long corridor maybe

The original floor plan calls for cathedral ceilings in the family/dining area, so the hallway upstairs would have a railing to look out into the living space from upstairs!

I love watching deligracy because whenever I’m dealing with Tourette’s or I’m having a bad day with anxiety, her videos feel like a hug. Eplans, a website for house plans also has GARDEN 'floor' plans, I think that would be a really cool challenge. You can find them if you search for least square footage.

Oh the bench and lockers is for a mudroom it’s basically a station for a family to drop off there belongs (like backpacks and purses) but also change out shoes. It’s really common to be placed next to the laundry room and/or entryway.

Deli! U should look at your houses with base game only and see what it looks like and then you could try and fix it! Idk if this is an original idea or if u have already done it but it sounds fun!

this is my favourite build ever. it’s so pretty and the vibes are amazing. might just be me but i have a very specific vision of this being a cool guy-best-friend’s home, and his parents let you come and go as you please, and there’s always some warm home cooked meal on the table. does anyone else get super specific when imagining who lives in these places? 🤣🤣

I always think it is so cool when I see content creaters taking inspiration pictures. I used the same floor plan a couple of monts ago and turned it in sometime quite different. I am so fan of the Deli version. Waaaaay better than mine 🤣 Love the video, love those kind of challenges ❤

Lilsimsie has a tutorial for how to build roofs for this type of house so you don't have to do walls down. It involves a LOT of roof pieces, but it works

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but there's a really nice modern modular style couch in the Simkea CC that would have replicated the couch in the photo. It has the couch, but the pieces work like the counters. It's really cool.

on the floor plan the fridge is over where the sink is and the sink is on the island. it still looks cool the way you did it. the floor plan said loft for that weird up stairs hall way.

I’d love to see you use the flooring and the wood wall to do a log cabin house witch is my favorite with rustic inside with mostly white cabinets and other rustic white to brighten up the wood for the log cabin also rustic furniture and anything green as well

omg, Deli, I'm actually recreating this exact same house right now! 😂 for real the roof was the trickiest part, I had to put the roof in pieces and rearrange the bedrooms and bathroom so the 2nd-floor rooms are visible. I haven't finished the house tho, but seeing this video makes me want to finish the house soon 😂

I love this! It looks sooo good! You did an awesome job following the floor plan. :) also the original yellow couch you pulled out for the family room (the U shaped couch) comes with little rounded chairs that are the same color that you can add to make the U or L shape look more “complete” 💖 Also - random question - do you have Braces or tooth art?? Lol I swear I kept seeing something sparkly on your tooth 🤣🤣 I know that’s a weird question. Sorry.

Loved it! My only Personal change would be the walls in the upstairs shared bathroom. The dark looking stone gray color made it appear cave like. Since bathrooms are smaller I prefer lighter walls but maybe that’s just my own personal taste and everyone else likes it dark and cozy. You did such a great job! You always give me such good ideas
