Another nice video. A couple of months ago I finally bit the bullet and bought a 3D printer. I have been learning CAD and have started making quite a few of my own designs for various things (nothing too complicated yet at this point) But one of the things you have inspired me to do is to start also designing things for use with my cameras. I have become pretty addicted to 3D printing at this point and am learning more every day. Thanks for the inspiration buddy. I will be sending you a bill for all the filament I am going through. 😃😃😃🤪🤪

lol good luck with the invoice, I'm still waiting for my payment from the guy who got me addicted, it's been almost 4 years :). Yah I love it, I've gotten to the point where I can pretty much create anything whether it's accessories or just stuff around the house for repair parts. I might still start doing segments on my channel about 3D printing, I'm not professional but it would be good tutorial for beginner to intermediate even for ones who are thinking about taking up this addictive hobby. ie. don't even get me started on who much filament I've gone through lol

I'm 3d printing one out of flexible rubber on my resin 3D printer for my Ace Pro - for my needs I need a collapsible rubber hood.

@@MiyagisRant My plan is to use one of the push on filter covers - remove the glass to have a tight fitting frame - 3D print the flexible hood and glue it to the frame. I've found that the sun just out of the most wide frame causes lens flare, so hopefully this will work OK. Also looking to help keep rain drops off the lens surface when there is a very light sprinkling.

@@johnhinkey5336 hmmm.. yeah, post it when you get it done, would love to check it out. I haven't really had much flare problems. But I designed a frame guard for my ace pro that protrudes a bit to protect the flush lens from scratches/chips, maybe that helps a bit.

I trail run with mine, so I bought the plastic frame that you highlighted in one of your videos and 3D printed a textured finger grip that adapts (screws onto) one of the aMagisn quick release plates. This helps me hold onto it securely when trying not to trip out on the trail. I have a few other 3D printing adds that are in the works for my needs, the collapsible lens hood being just one of them.
