Small correction: additional proj doesn't affect secondary projectiles. It just gives you additional primary proj which then always "explode" into 3 (or 4 with helm enchant) secondary proj. It's still one of the best single scalars for TS.

I really hope that you make this into a series. It's a really good video that breaks down the concepts of the build in a very digestible manner. I haven't really seen these types of PoE videos on KZfaq, and haven't really found another platform that does this, yet. It's really interesting to learn stuff like this, even after having played for a lot of hours.

This was the first league ive farmed myself a Mageblood and its just as amazing as I dreamed it to be. I wanna get even better to obtain one even faster next league. It only took me like a month and a half. 😂 Preplanning is key though. That way your not worrying about rolling your maps / invitations and you can just blast. (Where the fun is)

I have always loved TS and it was rough that it was so bad for YEARS. Glad to play it again.

Ultimately, at the very high end, I think bows are kind of just cracked for PvE because at some point, damage stops mattering entirely (crazy high delve depths notwithstanding, which is its own meta that's basically defined by manabond hierophant and boneshatter juggs, if I'm not mistaken), so once the damage stops mattering, then coverage is the name of the game, and tornado shot, as you demonstrated, has obscene coverage. I'm not sure how that compares to Lightning Arrow, though. Also, FWIW, the "cast tornado on tshot" crucible tree thing can be replicated with CoC tornado in a manaforged setup. I.E. frenzy-manaforged-PCoC-CoC-Tornado-culling strike, but the coc/tornado does take up two links which could be used for a curse setup, blind, hydrosphere, etc.

To think that havy strike is a skill gem as well... There are worlds in between them.

i played this build in sanctum league a lot, it was lots of fun and i always succeeded in sanctums thanks to how much offscreen damage it dealt. Haven't had that "1 resolve run" thing drop even though I racked up 38 challenges in that league so i settled for other hard mode sanctums and still nailed them every time. Stuff like SIM30 was out of reach though, the build is too squishy and SIM's bumrush you with monsters. I did SIM30 deathless with RF Juggernaut. Kosis with a fire resist mod was painful though, if that shit spawned on wave 29 or 30 i just rerolled and opened another SIM.

you are wrong about getting additional secondary projectiles from +proj modifiers. TS explicitly stated, and you can check the poewiki, that modifiers to projectile count only apply to the initial primary arrow. while overall yes you get more secondary proj in virtue of having more primary projectiles, each primary projectile still only shoots out 3 secondary projectiles. this is why the +1 (+2 in standard) secondary projectile helmet enchantment is so good, it helps increase the consistency of the skill on single targets by making it less likely the secondary projectiles will whiff and all miss the enemy (it goes from a larger radial angle between secondary projectiles to a smaller angle as they are shot out equidistant from one another). it's also why bigger enemies tend to take significantly more damage from TS on average, because if aimed correctly it's physically impossible for all secondary projectiles from a given primary projectile to miss, especially with the helmet enchant.

Im thinking of far shot and focal point , but idk if those added damage numbers really give me that pernetage or damage or lower in actual dps .

One of the few volume of fire abilities that clears stupidly well and can functionally become a mega shotgun with snipers mark and VC, you don't even need a major investment to get it to work well... it's also not melee, the thing GGG seems to hate.

i don't know if new support is a hint that they will change returning arrow from annoitment or not but if it is lighting arrow will be less exciting to play . maybe ill try tornado instead.

min-maxer's budget secret: you can get 11 additional primary arrows from sniper's mark :)

The only thing I need to mention here is that bow skills do have the one downside that you cannot afk. If you're not shooting, you're not dealing damage which means looting while clearing the map can be a little annoying. Also you usually die if you stop shooting. The stutter step Playstyle is also something you have to get used to a little. Just my 2 cents, I love TS, I just think the caveats should be mentioned

Hi..iam new to poe and have started to build my tornado shot ranger..but my problem for my tornado shot is, max i can get only 7 secondary projectile even with all passives tat give extra projectiles(no ascendancy yet)..can anyone tell me how i can increase the number of my secondary projectile?

You couldn’t kill Massier around 9:00 because he spawns only after you get closer to him (pass through that „gate” probably), not when you enter the arena.

I think this series would be vastly improved by showing various expectations of this build. E.g. "this is what the build will look like at the end of the campaign", "this is what it should look like in white maps, yellow maps, red maps" "here's the chase build" etc. People watching this video are likely not going to see one mirror let alone several, so seeing this will just forever make the viewer dissatisfied by their own build. Just a thought

Elemental tornado shot is so fun, with omni (personally dont like MF so any build with mf is out of my thoughts, since i tried snoobae poison tornado shot, and lightning arrow mf with HH, it feels so awful). If in a league my first character is ranger, 100% when i have enough currency i would go for omni tornado shot, it just feels too good, dont need aiming like lightning arrow/ice shot, although kinda squishy but hey, if you delete them first they cant delete you.

What is the cost of getting this build to the point it can map farm? ran a RF league starter and want to try a few different mapping builds in practice for next league (thinking spark, EK or this)

i tried building ts deadeye last patch but couldn't get it to work properly mainly because the bow is a PITA to craft and too expensive to buy. the build only becomes nice to play at around the 50 div mark whereas other builds like RF becomes smooth once you get explode corpses at around the 10 div mark. you may be off screening mobs and whats not but you are still going to die to one shots like eldritch altar meteors etc. its a cool build to play but unlike other low entry level builds, many ppl give up half way with TS because it requires so much investment. its kind of worst than COC FR when it comes to investment.
