And they would not copy from one human being to another. The Quran was voluntarily given for burning by people as they knew it was for good cause. No oppression was done. The Quran is the last Message to humanity(not just for Muslims) from The Creator of the Universe and everything so had to be preserved. Allah has said in the Quran Surah Al Hijr Ayat 9 It is certainly We Who have revealed the Reminder, and it is certainly We Who will preserve it.
