+GoodBadFlicks "You can goof on Hulk Hogan all you want for his movie choices but they are still not as bad as The Tooth Fairy" Jesus.... only just recovered from choking on my coffee with laughter... Damn that is so true! At least Hogan played to his strengths as it were... He knew after No Holds Barred that he was never going to be a serious actor....

You're right about that one. I always thought that this flick somehow *does* feel like a feature length sitcom pilot. Sort of like the "Harry and the Hendersons" of the 90's.

I saw this when I was kid, and loved it. Terry's not the best actor, but he's got lots of atheltic prow-sess, and charisma. Lots of wrestlers been in movies, but when I was kid, I wanted to see WARRIOR in a movie! "THIS MOVIE..HAS HE POWER OF THE QUASAR IN IT'S BLOOD..HOAK HOGAN! AND THE WARRIORS FROM THE HEAVENS CAME TO MEEEE..AND SAID..."

I actually like that they used Shelly Duval as the wife, the nerdy guy with a hot wife is too damned cliche she's just a plain looking woman with an average husband. As for Hulk Hogans' acting 3 words baby THUNDER IN PARADISE I fucking LOVED that show

It is possible for the wife to rearrange all the heavy furniture by herself in a few hours. Have witnessed this awesome feat of strength and ingenuity myself several times coming home and gawking in amazement at the results. Totally feasible.

Holy shit, this movie was funny as hell. Was a huge fan of Hogan as a teen, seeing this cheesy movie brought back memories. It's so dumb it's great.

This was originally meant for Devito and Arnold to be a buddy action film but they did Twins instead and New Line optioned the rights to it. That would have been interesting, I doubt it would have had the space overtones, rather just military ones with Arnold. This is prob my favorite Hogan film, loved it since I was a kid. It's far from perfect but very enjoyable to watch, way better than most of his other stuff.

Suburban Commando is an absolute gem, it'll always have a special place with me. I think it's Hulk Hogan's best film, I know that's not hard to do but it's still awesome, just like this video, good tribute, I love your tongue in cheek humour, awesome.

I don’t even have to watch this more than once a year I still know pretty much every line in the movie by heart… I will never not love this movie I loved it when I was a little kid and I love it now just in a different way. Now it’s not as bad ass as it was then but it tries so hard to be and it makes me smile and laugh so brownie points.

you watched this twice in 1 day. well those were the days when movies were more appreciated I think. VHS still cost a bunch of money when they were first released. Batman was the 1st movie I remember costing only 20 bucks when it was 1st released and that was special because I remember VHS costing 70 bucks when they 1st came out. When we rented a movie we watched over again back then. Back in 88 when willow 1st came out we watched movies over and over again if we liked it at all
