A few clarifications that weren't covered in the video: Stars do more than change turn order and give you the slight +1 Income/Reputation bump: 1) The player(s) with the most stars at the end of every round gains +1 population, while the player(s) with the fewest stars lose a population 2) At the end of the game, your position on the star track allows you to break ties for public and personal goals 3) Investment markers double the stars on the tile 4) The Bonus and Challenge tiles are for the number of star tiles you have, not your position on the star track. I'm not sure if Tom played with any or some of those rules, but if he didn't, it would make sense as to why he didn't feel stars were as important as they actually are. If he did, well, then he's just weird. :) Also, it seems that Tom didn't play any 5 player games with the expansion, which is unfortunate, as it isn't much longer than 4 player at all, and it's much more engaging as a result of the star track and turn order changes.

I usually watch these game videos for greater breadth of knowledge and a few chuckles. This one though was super helpful. Thanx for that!

The Mayor Ted Statue tile I would assume is named after the designer of the game Ted Alspach... seems like a confusing expansion... I would have to get the original expansion first before making a decision on this one!

Alien Mountain....I love the reference to Devils Tower (See Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Paul).

Suburbia is pretty much my favorite game, but I knew all along this expansion was going to be off. I will still get it. I just hope they dont shy away from making more expansion!! The more tiles, the better I say :)

Some people will buy this just for the 5th player. Too bad it makes the game long, but if you have a 5-member game group you're looking for stuff that'll support them. Once you get to 6 members in a game group you can divide into two 3 player games, but 5 players is an odd one, because dividing into 2 & 3 players may not always be a preferred option.

Maybe if the next expansion adds a variant purpose for the stars, and more airports, it could rebalance things...

I just want some more borders.... I don't even care for getting extra tiles, I already have way too many with just Suburbia Inc, I just don't have enough borders!

From Dan's review it seemed that stars track also detracted points/money from ones who were last..

A lot of these buildings are REAAAALLY silly too. I love suburbia, but I'll pass on this one.

I thought Inc already ruined the Airport strategy... While it's a strategy I tended to gravitate towards in base Surburbia, I don't think it was so overpowered that they needed to not bother with Airports in either expansion... Ah well.

I appreciate the poke at Dairy Queen, but Lactose Princess??? That just sounds raunchy!

Most reviewers and most commenters are just meh on this...I don't think this expansion will do that well.

This expansion was a waste. Play with the first one. I got the collectors set and this tray NEVER will be opened again. It just breaks the game in too many ways. 5 players is almost never a welcome addition to a game. If the game was that good with 5, it would have been in the game to begin with. And even then most of the time it's still bad 😂
