I love the sounds those skytrains make, but they suck to ride when you have to stand. The newer gen ones are so much better for that. Also damn, everyone commenting from 11 years back lol.

This happens every morning & afternoon, cuz some people hold the door or get stuck then eventually all the other doors re open. lol

Has anyone noticed tat the Mk II trains have been a bit glitchy lately? missing announcements, making station announcements twice and such. I was on one a couple days ago that sat in the station with the doors closed and played the chime 6 times before leaving.

That is because the original Vancouver cars were built by the same company that built the Toronto cars, as well as the Detroit People Mover.

I live in Vancouver and the trouble with the door is because ppl are trying to get in and the doors reopen.

That's the standard behaviour SkyTrain exhibits when it detects that a door hasn't closed completely. It sounds the chime again, reopens and closes, until all the doors close. The other incident with the open door was a failure, but this is just the way it's supposed to work.

It should open back up fully, not close after opening up a little bit.
